Having trouble with the mission "the liberation of Gracemeria"

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone can help me with this mission. I'm trying to get an S rank on this stage for the medals, but for some reason every time it gives me a C rank for the fight with Pasternak. I've tried beating him in many ways. I've tried killing him in a min, i've tried to kill him and all his UAV's, and other ways. Is there somthing i'm missing or what.

You have to destroy as many of the UAV's as you can before killing him. Best way to do it is make sure your allied support is full before you start that part and when you have a large group in front of you send your guys after them. Time dosen't seem to matter, so take your time. I have only gotten A rating on this part, but if you have an S rating on the other operations in this mission, that will give you an overall rating of S.

It's important to note that more UAVs spawn when you kill them. Killing about 30 should get you an S rating.

thats the weird part. i've killed ALL the UAV's so he was the only one left, they never seem to respawn with me. and I still get a c rating. Maybe the game just hates me.

Make sure you aren't hitting Pasternak. If you hit him enough, it will make the UAVs disappear, hitting him a little might be preventing more from spawning.

Yeah, thats how i did it too as someone else stated in one of the other forums blowing up secondary targets is how you get S rank. I think time and damage take are also factors.

With the Pasternak fight, time is NOT a factor. I've done it enough times to know. Just kill 30 UAVs in however long it takes and you'll get an S.
