Assassin's Creed 2 - Speculation and Spoilers

I made a nice little list of interesting things I have figured out while playing as Desmond that i believe really set the stage for Assassin's Creed 2 plot.


Most of the Altair past plot can be seen paralleling Desmonds.

(Just the Facts, skip to the end if you want)

-Vidic is a templar, just like Altair's master (whose name escapes me)
-Vidic stares out the window when telling you to go in the Animus, Altair's master stares out the window when telling you of your next target
-There are 9 Targets for you to assassinate as Altair, and there are 9 project leads of the facility that holds Desmond (facility name escapes me...lol)
-The crusades are happening in Altair's time, while in Desmond's time it seems there was another war in which left many countries uninhabitable, America possibly being one of them (mentioned in lucy's e-mails how the Mexican president was increasing border patrol from AMERICAN refugees. Oh the irony?)
-Obviously Desmond is not the last Assassin, and neither is lucy as she is communicating with them in cryptic e-mails disguised as modern spam about increasing penis size, lmao. (to read the message go into Lucy's deleted files and click on the "??" Notice how the letters are in caps? Thats how you read the hidden message)
-Subject #16 (Desmond is #17) started losing touch with reality from prolonged exposure to Animus. (and went insane)

I have a lot more little tidbits of info but i really cant confirm them, they are just really educated guesses.


(Speculation)

Assassin's Creed 2 will most likely take place in a modern day crusade (present time). As the player, you will be controlling Desmond the majority of the time and be reunited with the Assassin's Guild. You will occasionally have "break periods" from the present and play in the past in which Desmond begins to lose touch with reality (quite the opposite of Assassin's Creed as you had "break periods" from the past and played in the present)
Much like Assassin's Creed, you will have to assassinate 9 targets, most likely the project leads, some which may or may not be in possession of ancient artifacts.



I don't Expect many replies, but perhaps when assassin's creed 2 is announced (and if this topic still exists) i can find it and be like HA TOLD YA SO!

Nice Speculation! I think it might take a turn like 1984, where you have to overthrow the oppressive government, and its 9 leaders maybe. Telescreens everywhere spitting out propaganda everywhere. Man they should make a game like 1984.... Great book.

Hmm, I think it's possible to have an action in modern times, because, look, Desmond tells Lucy that he was in that 'farm' thing, so this is some kind of dunno... tradition? Hidden Assassin's guild? Anyway, imo that kind of guild is like Shaolin - if you do not start lessons in young age like 5-8 then it's senseless so if Desmond escaped from the 'farm' when he was 16 - I think he learned much - and he have Altair's blood, so on, a talent.

It is a shame this game will not catch on like halo did as no multiplayer exists...

however this is by far the best single player story to date.

I'm sure it would never happen, but it would be awesome to see something like a co-op mission with multiple targets within a time limit. Or competitive, who can get the most targets, etc. Maybe even have customizable assassin's. Like I said, it'll never happen, but it's fun to dream...

you never kno, thats wat everyone said about Bioshock and now Bioshock2 will 85% have MP. AC2 might but aslong as the singleplayers is asgood SCRATCH that better then part 1 of AC then Im fine.

There's actually a good chance you could be in japan. in Noisy Neighbour's post, that link, i think it's where i read that. they make a good point.

Yep it might be in Japan. At least a part of the game. Most likely it will be the modern part of the game, OR:


You might still play as Altair. And what you do is try to travel and destroy the different artifiacts to stop the Templars. At the same time Altair begins to go crazy because of the knowledge (as Mualim said at the end of the game, "You can, but you won't").


That would be really cool if done right.

A theory I haven't seen considered yet is that perhaps Desmond had another ancestor that was also an assassin, but in a different time and place, who also had a run in with the templars or the apples.

yeah.. we need to write to them and telling them to do this lol or write to a company and get them to get the rights to the engine and make a game from it. (like how FPS games that came out in the 2 years after Doom 3 were made with that engine)

I'm not sure I'd want them to make it ninja, as much I like ninjas. Especially with Ninja Gaiden coming sometime in the future. Isn't part of the reason that Assassin's Creed is so impressive and fresh due to its setting?

i think ur wrong because its a trilogy , there not going to make the second of 3 killing the project leaders and that being it. And really is there any proof that Project #16 lost touch with reality, how do we know he wasnt japanese or something. Im kinda curious what the drawing above the bed is.

Eh, I'm much more stoked about Assassins Creed 2 than Bioshock, AC has about a 4x better story line. I mean come on, I think finding out that masayf (or whatever his name is...) is a templar is much more shocking than finding out that Atlas was Fontaine... and Bioschock didnt leave on a cliffhanger after I beat it i wasnt even thinking about Bioshock 2. As soon as I beat AC I was looking stuff up for a sequel. I can't wait!!!

I would like to play as a templar though tracking down the assasins in some sort of weird way.

Plus an mp mode would be sweet deathmatches across the rooftops.

that glitch happened to me...did you try to assassinate the other altair? I tried that and it made my xbox freeze up :p

lol where did you get that from? his father? he ran away and never spoke to his parents since he was like 16. He already knows who the templars are , hell theres a whole corporation devoted to them ruling the earth. No doubt about it the current day Desmond will become an Assassin.

At the Beggining of the Game Desmond mentions his Farther saying they will come for them.;)

Desmond might form a coalition with Lucy, or whatever, and they venture out into City where the Animus is located, and proceed to kill all 9 of the parliamentary heads of the government, because they are trying to take over the "holy land". But who knows...it should be great, thats all we know.

I really hope they don't add multiplayer. Doing so would take time and resources away from making the single player even better than the first one.

Anyways, as for the link that was posted earlier in this forum, the article says:

This is regarding the writing found at the end of the game. That would be pretty cool to be a ninja or something, trying to find a Piece of Eden.

well we all know that the beginning of the next game will most likely be desmond using vidic's pen to escape. Some of you wonder if he left the "farm" how will he be able to escape well, in one of the emails on vidic's computer. it says subject 16 loses touch with reality and becomes his ancestor. This means desmond could easily at times have altairs physical and mental strength. That would explain Desmond using eagle vision in the end. The killing of project leaders isnt a bad idea. Also how do you know its japanese on the wall. It could be arabic, or even the brotherhood's secret writing. I dont think it would be japanese because why need historians and not just translators. Maybe for the symbols. Also, I think the words on the floor in the main hall are scrambled words. I never got around to trying to solve but the masons used cyphers and all sorts of puzzles to conceal secrets that only other masons could read.(Unless Nicolas Cage is around trying to solve them) Templars came before the masons but masons branched from the templars. So puzzles like that could have existed back during the crusades. I think if it is modern time prepare for a Splinter Cell type game. YES! SNIPER RIFLES! Dont get me wrong. I think it will come down to one artifact that is hidden and the brotherhood will use the machine to find it through another's ancestor. IDK really, they left us thinking of all possibilities. EVEN JAPAN! BOO! Thats too drastic of a change for me. Cultural wise. I personally think the facility is in Mexico. Its funny, I think that the world powers now arent the world powers then. America isnt uninhabitble because the one email says the US and EU are drilling in the antartic. But idk ill lay my thoughts to rest.
