These flags are pretty ,much the new Crackdown Orbs. There are way too many to find without a guide. I give props to those who are able to track all of them down.

The strategy guide shows location of all 420 flags, and 60 templars?

We can't use the pictures of the strategy guide, it is illegal. That is why I started this thread. Apparently no one wants to help make this list though.

thats incorrect... people want to help but being able to list a persons/flags specific location in a HUGE game like this can be tough. with the massive citys containing so many buildings that you get lost 10 steps past the gate.

if only there was an easier way to describe locations...

edit: not to mention the fact that once you pick it up you cant get it back or go back and record where you found it...

If we can't use the maps from the strategy guide, can we take picture of the in game map and mark the locations in paint and then post it on the forums?
Then we could take a picture of the flag so you could see if it was on a roof or the ground.

I went searching for them last night and finished the achievement. Unfortunately I'd already got 3 of them during the initial scenes so I don't know where they were. Here's my list of the 17 I found last night. All the descriptions make sence to me but you might have problems as it's so hard to describe the locations. The numbers are not official, they're just the order I found them in so they will not match up with the official guide. The first two are only available after the initial Damascus assassination as the garden is locked until then.

1.In the library garden on a pole in the pond.
2.In the library garden on the lowest tier (keep heading north).
3.In the library on the left side of the ground floor.
4.In the castle courtyard next to the ladder that leads to the 3 leap of faiths.
5.At the top of the ladders right next to the 3 leaps.
6.Jump off the leap (where the man broke his leg), cross the first beam and it's on a ledge to the right (near the second beam).
7.As you approach the castle it's on a cliff ledge to the right as you go up some steps. There's lots of guards in this area.
8.From the castle, heading south, it's on the roof of the 1st building you come to.
9.Look south from flag 8 and you can see it on the roof of the next building to the south.
10.On the south edge of the ravine but at the east end by a bench.
11.On the south edge of the ravine but at the west end. Quite a nice "free run" along beams over the gorge.
12.Where the intimidation target was preaching there's one directly behind/above him.
13.Where the intimidation target was preaching there's one behind/above and to the east on a balcony/porch.
14.Very close to where you beat up the intimidation target. It's just to the south across the path/road in some grass between a tree and a small house.
15.Come through the main gate of Masyaf and follow the wall to the right. Don't climb anything and you should find it in a dead end alley with rafters above.
16.From the main gate follow the left hand wall. It's in the evesdropping marketplace in the rear left corner.
17.In the evesdropping marketplace again but in the rear right corner tucked away. This is the very base level of town.

The following 3 are from memory so could be a little off.
18.On a roof top just south of the ravine by the west edge of the map. (Just south of number 11.
19.On a roof top just inside the city gates.
20.Near the pick pocket target. I got this one when running from a guard after I messed up the training mission so I don't really know where it was. I think it was in the area north west of where the pick pocketing started.

The good thing to know is that they're all in the town itself. None of them are outside the main gate so if you pass the horses you've gone too far.

I think a guide to list all of the flags will be kind of hard to make because there are so many and it really is hard to describe where a lot of them are... my advice is to just fully explore everything lol When going between area to area, fully explore each zone because unexplored zones are faded out on your map. Thats the easiest way to tell where I have been. As far as finding the templars and flags within the cities themselves, thats something different. Its a cluster f*** in all the cities and you really do get lost very quickly... No real advice there, just play through the game and hope you get them all doing sidequests and such, or just let a friend dick around on the game inside a city and maybe youll get lucky and he'll find 1 or 2

I hope this happens. With a map mark and a picture of it, I'll be able to find every flag and Templar.

As it is I must suck at finding them because I do all sidequests and viewpoints before I kill the target, yet I leave a section of the city with only 10 of 100 flags. I'm sure there are 30-33 per section and even doing every mission I'm not finding them.

It'll be extremely difficult to help those who are missing one or two flags per city. But I do have a question, in regards to Mastyf: are all the flags within the city limits or are some on the way to the large kingdom map?

So far I'ved only been able to find about 29 templars. In Jeruselem (didn't get the spelling bee award) there is one by a church, for for an easier way to find him, on your map, there is a big square with a circle in it. It is the biggest church there. The templar is in the corner of the church where the walls meet. There are at least 3 templars in this city, the way i found them is by running around. If u are close enough to them, they automatically attack you. At least that's one way to find them.

EDIT: Someone beat me to this :(

This might help someone:

Damascus (Poor): 9 scale points, 12 save citizens, 33 flags, 3 templars,
Damascus (Middle): 7 scale points, 8 save citizens, 34 flags, 3 templars,
Damascus (Rich): 10 scale points, 10 save citizens, 33 flags, 4 templars,
Acre (Poor): 11 scale points, 12 save citizens, 33 flags, 4 templars,
Acre (Middle): 9 scale points, 7 save citizens, 33 flags, 3 templars,
Acre (Rich): 11 scale points, 9 save citizens, 34 flags, 3 templars,
Jerusalem (Poor): 6 scale points, 8 save citizens, 34 flags, 3 templars,
Jerusalem (Middle): 7 scale points, 6 save citizens, 33 flags, 3 templars,
Jerusalem (Rich): 9 scale points, 12 save citizens, 33 flags, 4 templars,
Kingdom: 12 scale points, 0 save citizens, 100 flags, 30 templars,
Masyaf: 0 scale points, 0 save citizens, 20 flags, 0 templars,

I believe this to be right as per my findings thus far, and this can be added to the guide if deemed fit.

I refused to get any flag until I was able to take the time to do them all at once. I have not completed the game yet (I had to restart for the vmars convo achievement). If you pick up random flags, it makes finding difficult ones nearly impossible since you don't know what you have and what you don't have.

Masyaf Flags Map:

Ok I made this overtime, don't look at the drawing XD it was done in photoshop based on the map in the game itself...i redrew the map a bit it's a bit out of size then the games map, but it should be good enough..

I just found my last 4 one hour ago..I dotted every flag I got In the order I got them
I also kept a notepad file with me with a brief explanation of some of the places not all though be free to help me with it.

2: in the same tower at the highest level of the tower
3: In the left back corner of the library
4: in the back courtyard of the library on a fountain pillar
5: at the end of the same courtyard as in 4
6: When you do the leap of faith at the first mission, cross the first beam and its at the end on a ledge
7: on a beam thats hanging over the river, behind a building
8: follow the path of flag 7 and just climb/walk in a straight line, youll see it
9: when coming out of the creed building go left of a ladder on a cliff, its down the ladder
10: on top of the building thats shown in the map
11: on top of the building thats show in the map, its a 3 story building its on the first roof
12: just follow the roofs of these houses and youll see it eventually
13: on top of the building
14: on top of the building
15: in a little garden like place
16: on top of the building
17: on top of the building in a corner

Ok, people seriously need to stop saying "this is hard, there are a lot of them." I know that, hence why I started a thread for all 30,000+ members of this site could contribute to. If you don't want to contribute, then don't comment in here. Huge thanks to Influx and Shuyinsama for actually helping. Keep it coming! :)

it's pretty big so i'll just link it like this.

Anyway...to let other people help in this huge process.
I made some photos with my Telephone, and paste them together and edited a bit.
Sorry for the crappy map but it's a fast one untill I or someone else maybe make a good one..
anyway please take the image and feel free to add the correct colored dots for the flags or templars.

I dotted 1 templar I know from my head there.

I appreciate the help from anybody and appreciate it when people use it can you give feedback if the dots were right etc (especially the templars) this way we can correct things and all work together on a map.

Thanks in advance here is the description for the templar:

Ahh I just see that you want the view points locations too, to bad i already had them in the kindom or else they would be on the map, but those aren't really necessarry, the moment it gets explained all high points will be dotted in the games map and dissapear when you did them..

The flags are going to be the hardest of all to find because the game is so huge, they are scattered everywhere. The Templar Knights do respawn in the same places where you killed them the first time and if you go back and he has respawned and you kill him again it does count toward the achievement of kill 60 Templar Knights.

by the way does anyone know if the templars are fixed locations, cause I just fought one in the kingdom that just walshed in while I was fighting some guards..
if theire not, well we'll have to do it with Guessed locations then ^^

Greets.

I do believe they are in a fixed location. It's like when I killed a couple and came back through the same area after finishing a map, they were back in the same exact spot.

#7 is the last one i needed to get the achievement. It's in the area where you exit the castle and there is a cliff off to the left. Head over to the cliff and you should see a ladder, climb down it and walk towards the edge closest to the steps. You should see it immediately.

I've had a go on updating on Shuyinsama's map... I think I'm one Templar out and maybe 2 flags... So this isn't a final, and they're not exact locations, close, but not exact. I'll put up descriptions as well as numbering on later versions once I know I've got all the flags and Templars. But here you are. :)

In regards to the map of Mayasaf on the first post...

There are a few errors that should be corrected in the descriptions (or at least added to):

#17 is not on top of the building. It is at the foot of the building in the corner between the two buildings and the cliff.

#1 is to the left of the ladder that leads to the first level of the tower of the tower.

#2 is over to the left at the top of the tower.

#5 is shoved in the corner to your right at the end of the courtyard. It's the corner that is made up of the ramp that brings you down to this section and the wall.

#20 is not on top of the building as listed. It is to the right of the building, (at the foot of it_) in another corner.

#9 When you come down from the ladder, go to your right. Follow that path.

#6 Go forward once you cross the first beam. It's down a step.

#16 is not on top of the building, it is located to the left of where it is located on the current map listed in the first post. Behind a U-shaped wall in a courtyard-like area next to the building.

#18 is hidden by a short wall in front of the northern most building.

#12 Located on a bright orange carpet on the top of the building.

I'm not sure if this fixes all of them, but I tried my best to describe them as best as I can. Just thought it used a little more clarity.

Thanks,
-C

UPDATE 1:
hey here is the first update.
this one is almoste finished for Arce poor, it has a total of 21/33 flags pointed out
and 2/3 templars.

I'll hope I can give more tomorrow but this weekend my girlfriend is coming to my place so i'll be online for a short while.

Also Thanks Influx for that map ^^ I hope you all enjoy this for now.
I'll update as soon as possible

Update 2:

Well I couldn't help myself :S this game is addicting and it's 2:36 here.
Now i'm gonna stop cause I also want to enjoy the game XD
anyway here are all 33 Flags for Acre Poor, keep in mind that these are not precise they will be in the close area around the dots, either on a roof or in a building, or next to a building etc...I wanted to make descriptions but im hella tired!
I hope this is enough for the time being

Great map of the Kingdom Shuyinsama/Influx

However, i think there are only 99 flag locations (possible im miscounting) pointed out... also i cant find one flag that is on the path to Damascus: more specifically on the first wide area on the map after you take a left at the crossroads. There is one templar in this area but he is SE of the point indicated (actually right at the flag dot to the SE of the templar's map mark), and this is where i could not find the flag indicated, but the templar was there instead... hope that makes sense

Also, in the center of the map there is a very wide area on the map in the Southern Middle section of this area i found another templar in a ruined structure that i dont think is on the map.

Hopefully this will help, but would someone else count these up too?
thanks

I think I just ran into a glitch. I was going to take my time and search for flags in the Kingdom while I head to one of the cities, and I found a flag that I picked up, but it didn't register. I had 27 out of 100 before I picked it up, but for some reason after I picked it up, the count still said 27 out of 100. Also, afterwards, the "memory" just says on the screen the entire time, and doesn't disappear.

Yeah the guide photo's can't be used here, I think they will be removed when a mod sees it.

Anyway...I know the guides are out there, but it gives me a sort of satisfaction to find them myself...I'll keep on making maps
And for future reference The maps are not really exact, the dots are on the good spot but it's hard to pinpoint the Exact location.

Also if anyone wants to use the maps be my guest cause its a community thing I put them here cause I know people will help and edit the maps like influx

Today I will be doing damascus cause I forgot to make it yesterday XD

Yes, in some instances they do.

If you run into a Templar and he chases you away somewhere, the game triggers some code. Once it is triggered, that guy is no longer a Templar.

You can kill him and it won't count towards the number of Templars killed. You'd have to go back to the chest when a new Templar respawns and then kill him.

I just kill them, so I've never had one respawn. Also, I'm stuck on 59 templars, anyone know if there are some outside the cities, before you enter sneakily through the gate? Or one in Masyaf maybe? I'm also missing one of the Kingdom flags... I'm starting to lose my mind a little. Last night I dreamt of flags. It's the crackdown orbs all over again except these bastards don't beep when you get close. And I really wish eagle vision would help you locate them easier. Would have made sense since eagle vision is pretty useless in the game.

Just posting in case someone wants to get to work on producing there own maps ?

Wow.. sure didn't take long for my images to circulate around the intertubes.. I copied those from the E-guide I purchased from Prima. My original post here with those images was taken down (because it's not allowed), so I wouldn't be surprised to see that link removed.

Either way, I'm working on images using the in-game map that will make finding those damn things a bit easier. I'll post cities one by one as I confirm the location of the flags (and have the achievements to back it up). I currently have 4 flags left to find in Damascus, so that'll be the first I post.

My post was really wordy. Basically:

1. Kill a Templar while they're right next to/really close to the chest they stand by, and it will count as one of the Templar kills.

or

2. Kill a Templar after they chase you semi-far away, and it won't count. You will have to go back to the chest to find a respawned Templar.

Hi friends, i need your help urgently.

I have 99 out of 100 flags in the kingdom and now I cant manage to get the last one. I see it but its not reachable.

Its in the southern ruin where one flag is on a huge pillar. Behind there is a huge broken gate where you can climb on (there is also a flag). From this gate, you can easily jump to anonter high pillar and you see the pillar with the flag before you. Now I would expect a simple jump, but I cant manage Atair to jump that far. I have the strategy guide and I STILL need help finding on of the flags in the Jerusalem Rich District!!

If anyone has the guide, the flag is #23. The mini-description is "On a post on the roof." I have found all the flags I've looked for so far, but I cannot find this flag anywhere!!

For those that don't have the guide, it's supposed to be on the eastern side about exactly halfway down the map, directly south of the southern entrance to a small church, and north and very slightly east of the gate to the Temple of Solomon.

Has anyone tried to find this particular flag and had trouble?? Can anyone help???

I'm in the process of making this map right now. I've noticed as I go through and confirm locations that quite a few of them are "off." The text descriptions are accurate, but the dot location compared to where the flag actually is are innacurate. Close, but not quite.

As for the one you are looking for. it's actually just slightly south and east of where the guide says. Get up as high as you can and stand next to the roof garden near where the strat says the flag is at (the things with the cloth curtains you hide in). Now look south east and you should see a lone wooden pillar on a roof. There a box next to it and one of the roof hatches. The flag will be right on top of the pillar (unless you've grabbed it already). Hope this helps. :)

#7 is the last one i needed to get the achievement. It's in the area where you exit the castle and there is a cliff off to the left. Head over to the cliff and you should see a ladder, climb down it and walk towards the edge closest to the steps. You should see it immediately.

Thanks! Helped me to find it perfect. Was the last one i needed too! :woop:

Yet another map for you all. Jerusalem Rich this time around. If you haven't noticed yet, I'm doing the cities in the order you would encounter them in the game. As usual, red are flags, numbered for anyone who would like to make text descriptions, and green are Templars. All flag locations verified. Enjoy. :)

Hope you don't mind, but I re-made this one. A bit clearer to read in my opinion without all the vigilante/scholar groups. Also, point 32 on your map (12 in the original strat) is actually incorrect. It's actually just slightly east in the small group of buildings.

Thanks, man... I wish it DID help. Turns out I was looking in the wrong place, but I still can't find it. :(

Each flag I've gathered I've marked off the map. I've already found all 34 in Jerusalem Poor District, and then in the Rich District I've checked off every one off my map but that one, and it says that I have 66 Jerusalem flags (haven't accessed Middle District yet). So 66 - 34 = 32, right? I can't have already picked that one up without knowing it, and I've checked off all the others in the district! I'm still missing one!!

I already checked the flag-spots in the surrounding areas to make sure I didn't accidentally mistake this flag for a different one and check a different one off, but each spot seems to check out. I can't find the freaking flag anywhere!

This sucks! I guess I'm screwed.
===============================================
10 minutes later...

I think I know what happened, and if it did, it's a glitch.

I decided to load up my wife's game, because she doesn't collect flags. I went to where #23 was supposed to be, and it wasn't there.

BUT... suddenly I remembered something. She had me do one part for her that she couldn't get... the part where you talk to the informer and he has you collect the flags in under 3 minutes. I remember collecting the "informer flags" off of the rooftops, seeing one on top of a pole, going for it, and finding it wasn't an "informer flag" but one of the Jerusalem flags (because the game saved when I got it).

I remember because if you're standing on the rooftop just west of that pole, there's one of the little wooden rooftop-balcony things sloping down just towards the pole. I walked around, and sure enough there was the place down on the ground SE of there where the informant was.

So I'm thinking I got it during an Informer challenge, but even though the game saved in the middle of it it didn't register that I picked it up! And now it's gone.

I know I've killed a couple of Templars in the middle of saving citizens too. I wonder if it's screwed me there as far as my Templar count goes. If this is true, this seriously sucks.

My advice to anyone about to play this game is to not collect any flags until you beat the game and if you do pick up a flag make sure you remember at least what district it was in or what landmark it was around. Trust me on this. I went through Jerusalem in 1 shot all 100 in bout an hour no problems because I didn't collect a single one and went down the list making sure not to mischeck. Go to Acre Poor District however and it became the last flag I collected besides my Kingdom ones. If anything don't pickup Kingdom ones. Its the worst. -_-

P.S. (Hope Shuyinsama doesn't mind, stealing the thunder a bit here, all credit goes to you for the map. I couldn't have done it.)

I'm stuck at 95/100, definitely missing the pillar one people are talking about (redoing the game, dont have grab ledge yet) i think im missing a few in the big area between mysaf and demascus, and possibly one other one where the one with the pillar is. if someone could possibly describe those flags in detail so i can know exactly where they're at that would be great. thanks

oh and if anyone knows where the flags are that arent on the map (if there are any) that would be great too.

Just a suggestion to the map makers out there:
For Kingdom, instead of making a map for the whole damn area why don't you or a group of you make it section by section(big areas and roads with flags on them). Doing the whole thing at once would be too much work and having a big map makes the map markers a little inaccurate. 1 more flag and I'm done. Just 1 -_- damn you Kingdom!

Try the one at point 9 on the map. Climb down the ladder next to the tower the big logs came out of, then go the left to the ledge over looking the path. A guard is standing next to the flag there and it's kind of hidden in some bushes. That was the hardest one for me to find.

Descriptions for BcrdNCola's Damascus Rich map should be up by 4 P.M. today unless I randomly have a death in the family :p. I'm glad all of this is helping people.

That kind of sucks that it seems like some flags don't count if you get them at certain times. What I would suggest is just making a new save on a memory card if you have one. If you don't have one I guess try to find a friend that does. I'm going through a new game anyway to get the conversationalist achievement (while doing the minimum amount of required missions) anyway. The only problem is that if you get some of the flags on a different file, your "Additional Memories" DNA bar won't be complete, if you care about that.

Happy hunting!

BcrdNCola, before I start with the descriptions I thought I should mention that I think you're missing a Templar on your Damascus Rich map (at least, according to the strategy guide you are).

Sorry, I don't know how to edit the map so I'll have to describe where he is. If you look at the cluster of buildings that Flag 31 is on, there is a smaller cluster of buildings directly to the left of it, which resemble 3 stair steps. The dot for the templar should look like it is sitting on the first "step." Sorry if this is confusing; if you can't find him, message me and I'll try to clarify.

I did the math and realized that in the Kingdom once I finish getting all of the flags on my map that I don't have yet, I'll actually be 2 short :(. I remember getting very confused at the enemy camp that's just before the southwest city (acre). There are supposed to be 8 in that camp I think but I think I only found six. Could anyone help lay out where they are? HUGE thanks in advance for anyone helping me get the most PITA achievement in the game.

If there is a blue wall in your way, then come back later on in the storyline. If there is not a blue wall, then I don't want to sound like an ass but I think you're just doing the leap of faith incorrectly.

Once again, here are the descriptions for most of the Damascus Rich flag locations:

1- In the middle of a room one story up without a roof
2- In plain view, on a roof 2 stories up
3- On a wooden platform hanging over the street
4- Damascus rich #4 is on a wood awning overlooking the canal. You need to climb the building then drop down to the awning and you should land right on top of it.
5- On a roof 2 stories up
6- ?
7- Inside one of the hallways surrounding the large courtyard, at ground level
8- High up on a wooden plank in the opening in the wall (guarded by 4 guards on the ground)
9- On a low wooden overhang at the end of a small alley
10- In the middle of a small, half-destroyed room a couple stories up
11- In a tiny room on the side of the small room with a bench
12- Ground level, near a well and a tree, next to the canal
13- On a small, ground level bridge extending over the canal
14- Ground level, in a small room on the side of the street
15- This one’s tricky. Get to ground level inside the courtyard and look up to its location on the map. You should see it a couple stories up on a balcony. Climb up to its level and shimmy over to it.
16- Climb up to the roof and look down into the courtyard. It’s on a pillar in the courtyard.
17- On the roof, right next to the huge dome
18- Ground level, in a small alley
19- Ground level, in a small courtyard enclosed by some buildings
20- Way up on the highest tiled roof
21- In an open room one story up
22- In a corner down an alley, at ground level
23- On top of the long dome-shaped divider on the roof
24- Ground level, in a corner, outside the covered market
25- On a wooden plank above a door on the street
26- In an open room one story up
27- On one of the wooden planks above the market, inside the building
28- At ground level in the covered market, in a side room
29- On a roof 2 stories up
30- In an open room one story up
31- In a balcony in a courtyard enclosed by some buildings
32- At the top of the highest roof; as far as I can tell, you have to climb up from the inside of the building
33- Ground level, on a platform in the water

Once again, props to BcrdNCola for the map, as well as the #4 description.

Sorry for the double post, but I want to keep this separate from the descriptions.

First, if anyone sees typos in my descriptions, please tell me. I have to look at my notes while I type them up, so typos are likely to happen.

Second, if anyone can contribute descriptions for the numbers I have ?'s for that would just be awesome. I hate having them sitting there incomplete. Props to JJ UK for doing that already.

Can you not find the wood pillar or is the flag just not there?

I definitely found it, and the flag isn't there.

It's because the flag wasn't there in my wife's game either that it made me suspicious, because she doesn't collect flags. I remembered the informer's quest for his own flags, who had been nearby (SE of that point, I think), and the route I took to get those. When I accidentally picked up the Jerusalem flag on top of that post while in the middle of the informer's quest (doing it for my wife), I remembered the same thing happening in my own game--that flag is just one jump away, barely to the east of the route of the informer's flags, which at that point are running in a line north to south.

That's why I think it might be a glitch, having done it in the middle of one quest starting and before it was done, and the game didn't register as me collecting the flag, even though now it's gone.

At that point I didn't have the map to check off flags, and I avoided collecting them except for one or two that I may have accidentally collected. Since I've seriously started collecting them, I've checked off all other flags I've found in Jerusalem in the first two districts. That's the only flag I haven't checked off, and out of the two districts I'm only missing one.

That's the only thing I can think of.

Damascus rich #4 is on a wood awning overlooking the canal. You need to climb the building then drop down to the awning and you should land right on top of it.

Thanks for pointing this out. I'm at work right now, but once I get home, I'll fix it.

Fixed missing Templar.

I replaced the Damascus Rich map in my post with the updated one.

Unfortunately, I'll be going out of town tomorrow and won't be able to continue this until Monday afternoon. It would be great if anyone else who wants to could make the descriptions instead. I'm glad I could do what I did, and if all the maps still aren't complete when I get back I'll gladly help.

Good luck everyone.

Never mind. It turns out that I didn't even notice that huge hole in the middle of the camp. The last two were inside. Now I never have to go to the Kingdom again :)

I have been looking all over the net for a way to get flag 43 (or 19) on the official guide (for those of you who have it). It's in the roman ruins, on a ridiculously high pillar. I spent a good few hours climbing around and falling to my death trying to jump to it. Any clue how to grab it? If you're not sure on what one I'm talking about (after you've actually looked for it) I can try to explain better.
From what I've seen this is the most ridiculously difficult flag to get, and I'd appreciate any help.

Nevermind, I have to have the "grip" ability to grab it as I fall. Hopefully that will help someone else.

I started a new game and I still I can't find the flag in Masyaf after you do the leap of faith and cross the first wooden walk.

Reading all the problems folks are having, I'm scared to even try this. And I really don't want to restart!

It's not as bad as it sounds. You just have to be really careful and have a map for it. I've found it works really well to draw lines dividing the maps and adding up how many flags are in each sub section I made. This allows me to check my progress each time I think I'm done with a subsection so that if I'm off I only have to recheck maybe 7 spots instead of 33 or 100.

I started a new game and I still I can't find the flag in Masyaf after you do the leap of faith and cross the first wooden walk.

1) Perform the leap of faith.
2) Walk across the first beam.
3) Walk past the second beam (do not cross it) and look off the cliff. There is a ledge down there with the flag on it. I might be a little off on which beam it is...it might be after the third beam or something but it's pretty easy to find.

I'm having really tough time with the pillar flag in the Kingdom. I've got Grab Ledge, and yet.....it's like I can't get to it still.

I don't mean to sound like an ass, but are you holding down B as you fall toward the top of the pillar? If you don't then you're not using your ledge grab ability. If you are holding down B already, then I guess the only advice I can give you is: Keep Trying!

That's what I exactly did and there was no flag. Plus let's say I passed it can I get back to it? Or do I have to start a new game?

Yes you can go back to it. That's what I did when I went flag hunting. The flag is definitely in the area with the beams, so it shouldn't be hard to find even without instructions.

How do you get back to it? After I beat the game I couldn't do the leap of faith anymore, and for the flag I'm very sure it isn't there I looked all over all the beams when I started a new game.

I'm half way through the game on my second play through and I'm still able to climb that tower no problem and perform the leap of faith. The flag is not on or next to the beams, it is off a cliff in the area of the beams. Look at the spot on the map on the first page of this topic and it should be fairly easy to find. If you still can't find it I don't know what to tell you. Perhaps you got it on accident and didn't notice, or perhaps something is wrong with your disk or disk reader.

How are you getting the nice screenshots for the maps? Very impressive work :)

I'm stuck on the Masyaf flags :( I have 19 out of the 20 and I have been through the list and the map twice and I can't find the last flag, been trying for about 2 hours now

Would anyone been kind enough to do a map of these flags using the ingame map like the rest of the guides have please? They show a lot more detail and would be easier to see where the flags are positioned. I've even tried looking on You Tube for a video guide, the one of there only shows where 16/20 are, seems a bit pointless to me.

If you're like me and you didn't get the conversatonalist achievement, you'll have to play through again anyway. Try not getting any flags, until you've unlocked all reach high areas in the area you're going for. Be vigilant as to not accidentally grab one. If you're out in the kingdom and you accidentally bump into a templar, either let him kill you and avoid him like the plague, run away or kill him but make damn sure that you know EXACTLY where you killed him. This all makes it easier. I didn't get conversationalist so I had to erase my save and start over. This was actually a blessing in disguise because I have had no trouble finding exactly which flags I am looking for at the time. I've done Masyaf, Damascas poor & rich, Jerusalem rich, and Acre poor and rich. The guide goes in order so just follow that and always double check your player marker and the map both before and after getting a flag. Don't get ahead of the guide and be patient. This is just some suggestions, but it will work if you are patient!
