^Haha. Yeah I know.. On x360a's thread's guide (what I meant with "this site", probably confusing wording), it definitely does NOT say that.. so I spent like 25 minutes the other night spawning from the top of that archway trying to jump down.. so I was saying I wish x360a's guide had mentioned that so I could have saved that other flag til I had the ability so then I could respawn over and over til I got it.
...Your site is perfect! I wouldn't have known I needed that ability unless you posted it on your site... probably would have wasted tons more time falling to my death. Thanks for creating such a great site though.. I seriously sent it to everyone I know with Assassin's Creed.

Unfortunately there isn´t, I had to go through the whole game once again to get all the flags. But I had to get the conversationalist and the glitch achievement too so I had to do it anyway.It was very worth it though, finishing it twice. Got the full 1000 now :woop:

I just haven't had the god damn patience to do this. I am about to now that ive found these good maps, but the question is this. I found about 50% of the templars and flags before having a checklist, so i really dont know which i have and which i dont. Should i just use the map and check every location out or should i restart a fresh game and lose the progress i have made. Like in the end, which will make the journey easier.

Don't know if this helps anyone but, There is a templar not mapped on the maps that Kotor sentinel numbered/made? there is another mapp with it on that shows him by the flag number 70. Hope its there because I have one more to get in the kingdom but haven't checked this out yet!!

If you restart your game... the game is totally brand new and all the flags will be back as if you had never played.

This will be the second time I've marked off a flag I didn't actually collect... and I only need 1 flag in Jerusalem to have ALL of the flags. I just want to get my 1000 and be done with all of it. This flag grabbing and templar killing is driving me nuts!!

Just make sure you didn't do what I did. I printed out all the maps, and by mistake I cropped out the bottom corner of Jerusalem. I was freaking out because I couldn't find the last Templar, so I checked the maps again and noticed a cut off green circle. Then I smiled and jumped with joy. It's worth getting the full 1000 for this game, it lifts a lot of weight off you :P

I am missing one friggin Damascus flag. From the checklist it should be number 29 in the rich district but it is not there. I figure I must have gotten it on accident running from some guards but now I can't find that one flag in that city and seeing 99/100 is killing me. Any flag that is easy to miss in that city. It looks like I'm just going to have to start from flag 1 and work my way down the list till I find the one I missed. I just hope I don't do this with all the flags or I may be breaking something.

But I'm set on making this my first 1000/1000 (even if it means beating the whole thing again for Lucy convos)

This guide has been a God send for me, just finished getting all the flags + Templars in Damascus. I realised it would be best to get all the flags and Templars as I went through the game and it has been surprisingly easy, though time consuming. It also makes things A LOT easier to have the player marker function.

Thanks for maps..but this place is THE best place for the flags..it has a damn interactive checklist :D
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned in this thread yet because it's simply too large to scan the whole thing now. http://www.assassinscreed-maps.com is without a doubt the best site for finding the flags as countless people have mentioned. They are nearly 100% accurate on the flag locations. There are at least a few that are a smidge off but hey who can complain. However, the one flag that was furthest off the mark was one that I felt worth mentioning so others didn't have to search around for it like I did. On the Acre Poor District map, flag #8 is not actually in the buildings where it is marked. As you look at the map, it is in the building to the right on the ground level. This was the only flag that was I have found that was marked to be in or around one building and it was actually in another. Hope this helps!

Great guide! I'm using it right now to try to find the last flag in Jerusalem. I was using it and ended up with 99/100 flags and now have to go back through each district to look for that lone flag. Last but not least will be Damascus and the final 5 templars.

That lone flag is really pissing me off!

I have a question for you guys:

I had 1 flag in the poor area of Damascus before i actually started to collect them. So, only 1 flag should of been missing when i went through; however, there were 2 flags missing (#'s 23 & 27 on this map http://www.assassinscreed-maps.com/DamascusPoor.htm [which is a great site FiReStOrM^]). I tried resetting the game, system, even cleared the cache but nothing I do seems to spawn either of those flags. So my plan is to just get the Damascus flags on a second run through the game. I was just wondering if any of you guys know anything else I can do to get these to spawn.

I have 1 Flag left in Jerusalem, which shouldn't be too hard to go through all the city again.. But.. I have 1 Templar to kill and I've checked every single spot. A tip for hunting down the Templars, you should save the kingdom map and have it Ms paint or something you can edit the map with, and color in each green circle when you kill them. I used the interactive map along with a copy of it where i could color the circles, and i colored them red when i killed them, and just for a double check I would color out the flag number too when i collected them. It helped me out alot and i really didnt have any problems finding everything.

If anyone is having trouble killing Templars just assassinate them while they are on the ground. Usually a Counter Attack will knock the templar to the ground. Once he is down, get near him and take out your blade. Hit X and voila. He's dead in 20 seconds or so. I just figured this out >_<. I was usually knocking them down then hitting them while they were on the ground. Took like 3-5 minutes for each fight.

I don't know if anyone ever clarified this, but I found the answer elsewhere. On the infamous high pillar flag in the Kingdom, you have to leap from the huge arch to the pillar in between. And then you leap towards the flag and HOLD THE GRAB BUTTON (WHICH IS "B"). Now if only I can get my dude to jump straight....

Yeah, I am missing one Templar in the Kingdom, I pretty much just gave up on that achievement, I went around the entire kingdom twice, and all there were at the Templar spots were blankets, chests, sheilds and horses, and I made sure to kill the one who's sometimes not there...oh well, back to GTA IV

Sad part is nobody emails me when it happens any more. Site isn't as busy as it used to be. 20,000 - 25,000 page loads per day down from 60,000+ at it's peak. Back then if the site went down I'd have 287365834 emails by the time I checked.

Anyway sorry again. It would be appreciated if people could email me when it happens in future.

There are some ruins east of Acre (just for reference, the Prima guide says templar #10 is located here). There is a flag on a tall pillar I can't get to. I can't scale the pillar, and there is a high arch near by (with a flag on it), but jumping off that won't reach the pillar; I seem to hit the ground a foot and a half shy of the pillar's summit.

How do you reach this flag?

You need the Catch Ledge Ability (you get it after act 3) and then you can catch the ledge pressin (if i remember correctly) A.

Damn...98/100 flags in the Kingdom...and in an effort to find them, I went to each spot noted on AC-f.com, and checked off each flag after comparing the screenshot to the spot in game.

oddly, Neither flag was at any of the locations. Looks like i'll be having the game at 975/1000 :(

The flags are frustrating me too :mad: Currently sitting on:

Jerusalem Crosses = 99/100
Saracens Flags = 99/100
Teutonic = 32/33

And i've double checked all possible locations according to my (poorly-edited btw) Official Prima guide. The other Acre ones, Masyaf and the King Richards Flags are all completed...I wish the Damascus and Jerusalem flags were also split by district (like Acre) just to make my next search a little easier.

I'm sure i'll get them eventually...thanks to the AC-Maps site! But i don't have a laptop and my PC is nowhere near my 360 so i'd be running up and down like a madman just looking for those last three flags :p

Same thing happened to me. Are u 100% sure that you killed the templar that keeps dissapearing? Also everytime u check a templar and u are being chased kill all the guards that are chasing u....one of the templars i skipped was because i didint realize he was chasing with the bunch of guards so i just saw he wasnt there and i assumed i alrdy killed him.

Munkeh Im having the same problem i followed the maps on the guide to the letter and double checked and I'm still missing a single flag in Jerusalem and like 5 in damscaus (but thats due to taking a month break to play halo 3 and something was lost in translation). I personally am going to finish the play through and get conversationalist and the one for the kingdom flags and replay it...again

All I've got left to do are the Kingdom Flags. Isn't there a bigger map out there than the one on firestorm' site? The flag circles are so close together, kinda hard to cross stuff out when you're printing the map and crossing numbers as you go along.

I had 59/60 templars when I read about the elusive templar. I went to the encampment where he was to appear and nothing was there. Then I did what was said in the guide, just run around for a minute and return... nothing there. Out of frustration I started hacking on guards, only to see the missing templar being one of them :D That was such a relief.

I actually did e-mail him about 2-3 hours before it was brought back up. No idea if that was what brought it to his attention or not though.

I had to find his e-mail by looking at various pages on his site in Google Cache. :) Has quite a few places where he says to e-mail him but doesn't list his e-mail on that page. Heh.

I was down to needing (I thought) 5 in the Kingdom when I double checked in game and noticed it had me down as 94/100 found. :eek:

But I looked at my list and I had put a "?" by one of the ones I crossed off and that was the one I needed. :woop:

i finally just found my last templar. it was the one just north of flags 65 and 66 in the kingdom.

i had a hard time finding him when he glitched up and wouldn't appear the first time i went hunting for him. this was the second time i killed him. go figure.

So I guess the Flags and Templars are causing a lot of grief. Well anyway I was just wondering, right now I'm about to start going after the Kingdom Flags and so, how troublesome is it? Just riding through the Kingdom got me cursing the screen, with the guards knocking me off the horse and then me having to endure a fight with at least 6 guards.

Ah well, I'm not sure I can handle another playthrough for the Templars. I had to stop and rent a game and then play another becuase it was getting so repetitive.

you think that is bad try climbing a building while being chased and they throw a nice rock at you and knock you off the building. But yeah i figured out the best way to do the kingdom flags, a friend of mine told me youtube has videos of complete on screen run throughs of the flag locations. So all you gotta do is the same on the screen and TA DA!! you have a guide that is better then dots!!!! try that everyone. :woop:

yes the flags can glitch best things to do are reboot your console and see if they appear then. If they still don't then you will need to clear you cache to remove all updates of games and make sure you don't update it when you reload the game.

Take the following steps to clear your cache:
Go to the system blade and then select memory.
Press Y on the HD symbol and then press X,X,Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X. Once you do this a messsage will appear saying: Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices? Click yes.

It's strange that I keep reading about people's problems with "glitching". I collected the King Richard flags in order, faithfully checking them off as I went. I did the same with the Templar knights, only I kept a list going in Notepad. In the cities, I collected every flag and killed every Templar as soon as the area was unlocked. I didn't have any problems, though it could be a grind at times. Everything was where it should have been according to Firestorm's incredible website. I did everything on the first time through and enjoyed the game immensely.

Goddamit, I went right through all of Damascus yesterday and have ended up with 99/100. However, considering certain flags like 24 and 25 in the rich district were awkward, there's always the chance I thought I had got one and missed it.

Missing 6 flags in Kingdom though, that's not going to be fun, even using the map, parts of it are quite difficult, especially the bottom left area.

Damn...I've cleared all the cities of flags, but I'm missing 5 from Kingdom, and I'm a good way through it and still nothing. What might be useful for some of the more awkward areas is co-ordinates. Also, still missing some templars, but I'm finding thesites they were in. If needs be I can check the cities again.

I've got all the achievements bar Personal Vendetta, Flags in Acre Rich and in Damascus & Jerusalem.

So I'm sitting on 910 atm. Ahh it's frustrating, they are such great maps and all the other ones are pretty much useless, the addition of the screenshots in the maps are a serious god-send.

The game was great but I just want to finish the boring bits (flags) just to 100% it.

....after alllmost kickingin my tv I finally found out why the Templarhunt is that frustrating:

Templars 6 and 8 (firestormmap) are blended in with the crusaders and it seems like you need to be incognito (just as talking to saved citicens) to add that Templar to your quest.

I decimated the hole armycamp in the kingdom near Acre cause I didn't know who the templar was until I saw him tucked away in a corner (8) come fighting with the rest.
I raced trough the split roads, jumped ramp with horsey with archers shooting at me, jumped of my horse and killed EVERYbody but nay, not that time (6)


so ''sam fisher'' the Templars or ''duke nukem'' just stay incognito for those Templarkills !!!! :locked

Well, during Christmas I finished up this game. First, let me give a HUGE thanks to firestorm's website and the maps. What a big help. Even tho the site was down during my last Templar and Kingdom flag finds, it was easy to find a suitable replacement. 12/23/08 I got my last missing flag in the Kingdom. 12/25/08 I was on a quest to find the last Templar and once he was slain and the Hunger for Knowledge achievements popped, I was pumped and eager to wrap this thing up. I was praying that I had flirted with Lucy enough and on 12/26/08 I popped my last 4 achievements including the Conversationalist. Whew! No 2nd run-through for that achivement.

In the end, I think this was a great game... flags /templars and all. My biggest hang up was the challenge of killing 5 ppl in 4 mins. OMG for some reason that took me FOREVER to get past and was the reason for a 9 MONTH abandonment of the game. Heh, yeah I was a little pissed. Sure, I could have moved on but I wanted 100% of the quests b/c I suck at killing the people with a full DNA bar. I knew my only hope was to get all the side quests completed.

One thing that helped me was to make an Excel spreadsheet with all the flag numbers (corresponding to firestorm's web site) and all the quests. An easy check when they were done to help me keep track. If I was ever unsure, I left it blank and went back to verify.

Heh, I just wanted to let everyone know that I am officially OUT of that 100% flag/templar club. :)

The map is extremely helpful I just started my quest to get all the flags and the kingdom flags went pretty smoothly. However I got to the final flag and I was still missing one and I could not find it for the life of me. Come to find out it was the very first F*&%ing flag on the map. That's the biggest problem that seems to happen on my site forum.. people who miss flags but are convinced that they have them all.. Most of the time it's human error so you just have to tell them to recheck them all again.

Finally with the help of this great guide I am happy to say I got 44 out of 44 achievements!!! Using the guide I went through and got all the flags except one in Jerusalem and one in Damascus and missed about 5 templars. I slowed down and went back through and found all seven of the items I was missing in about an hour! So thanks to you for a great guide and good luck to everyone else who is flag hunting. One thing that helped me was to make sure you go to your map go to the map with no items showing and use your player marker to mark exactly the same spot as on the map found in this guide. That helped me tons and make sure you start at one because if you start at any other number it tends to make you forget about one. Good luck everyone and again thanks a million for a great guide.

It would've been so much better if Ubisoft had just included colored dots on the city maps showing where the flags/templars are. Then, after you collect the flag, the dot disappears from the map.

I'm guessing they didn't do that because they wanted to make money off the guide books? :confused:

Well, this website just helped me get all Templars and Flags in a very short amount of play time. Assuming I didn't screw up Conversationalist, I should be on my way to 1000! Plus, the flag achievement pushed me over 10,000 total! :Bounce:

It may have been said before, but just a very humble suggestion for the map site. Is it possible to replace the Templar locations with letters and add them to the checklist so when you kill one, you can mark it off the same way as finding a flag? I'm glad I got them all (thanks for the note on the glitchy one by flag 54 in Kingdom) but it might help others.

thats probably something i should do too, tbh. i just jumped rightin with PES2009 forum :D

for those missing the one templar, try the kingdom, just north of the split in the central area of the map. using as he should be easy to spot. (number 16 on assasinscreedmaps.com.)

it says on the note he has a habit of dissappearing, i had to run to him, then away, 4 times before he appeared. im upto block 3 (2nd playthrough, damn conversationalist) and ive just got him. i havent had a single problem other than him so far :D

Man I think I'm going to be ill. Just used the interactive map for Kingdom and am sitting at 98/100. one flag in particular, Flag 64, isn't even showing up. That still leaves one possible flag that's either glitched or I somehow skipped over.

Blue dots represent hiding spots while you are trying to clear your social status back to white.

This guide has been very helpful, all that is left for me to get, is the Keeper of the Lions Passant, Keeper of the Four Gospels, Keeper of the Crescent and the Personal Vendetta achievements and I'll be at 1000 for the game. Thanks to this guide it'll make it that much easier to get them!

EDIT: FiReStOrM^ your guide and maps have been very helpful so far, so to make sure that I found every flag in the kingdom, I made sure to dot every i and cross every t, but for some reason I am stuck at 99 flags. I went through the kingdom twice and couldn't find it. So I guess I'll just finish killing the rest of the Templars that I missed in the cities and find the remaining Jerusalem and Saracens Flags. Looks like I'll have to get the Keeper of the Lions Passant achievement in my third run through of the game.

I've been trying for the past two days to get the Templar by Flag 54 to reappear, so either A) I killed him already or B) my game is seriously glitched. Either way I'm gonna have to restart my game!

I just began my flag and templar hunt yesterday starting in Kingdom >.> Not realizing Interactivemaps was out there and using picture maps.. Wanted to kill myself. Thanks for the interactivemaps website but now EVERY FREAKING CITY I DO I MISS ONE and have to research all the locations... And im only on my 3rd city... /facepalm

Has anyone had this issue? Not a single flag is displaying in any of the locations on Masyaf for me. Just started a brand new game, finished the tutorial and got to the part where I'm heading back down the hill to fight and thought I'd look for flags on the way. I've looked at 1-5 and then down at 15-20....nothing. No flag whatsoever.

Do they show up later in the game? Or am I glitching hard??

Firestorm, thank you for that map, and, as you've said numerous times, the two times I thought the game may have glitched a flag out on me, it turned out I just didn't look in the right spot. Flag 15 in the poor district of Jerusalem got me cause if you go down the ladder from the flag, that spot looks damn near exact as the screenshot, only real difference is the lighting, which I thought may have changed depending on which quest you're on. I felt so damn dumb when I decided to turn around and check the ladder behind me.

The maps helped, but the videos on youtube made it a lot easier because all u have to do is copy exactly what the guy in the video does, and u will get the achievements faster

Just this minute got the "Personal Vendetta" achievement :D took me 6 hours to do all 60 :D so that is 10 an hour xD probally because i need to kill alot of the guards when i was in giant fights and plus i did get bored and went and have some food XD

FiReStOrM^ your guide and maps have been very helpful so far, so to make sure that I found every flag in the kingdom, I made sure to dot every i and cross every t, but for some reason I am stuck at 99 flags. I went through the kingdom twice and couldn't find it. So I guess I'll just finish killing the rest of the Templars that I missed in the cities and find the remaining Jerusalem and Saracens Flags. Looks like I'll have to get the Keeper of the Lions Passant achievement in my third run through of the game.

Yeah tell me about it, it was not much fun going through the whole game again and taking photos (had to use my digital camera) of all the flags and templars. Was worth it in the end though with all the people that it helped!

Yes I think the problem is that the game is full of quite a lot of bugs, a lot of genuinly having problems with flags or templars disapearing/not counting so it can convince people they have a glitch. Over the years I have ran the site I have found quite a lot of people who jump the gun and claim a glitch or that my guide is inaccurate, who end up finding out it was actually human error.

Hey no problem and I did end up finding all the King Richard's Flags, now I just have to delete my saves and go through it again to finish of the Templars. For some reason I have been finding all the Templars, but I was just not getting the credit for one of them. So hopefully I'll get it this time around.

Try going to the templar which doesn't appear sometimes. That may be your problem as it was mine. I thought I had to restart the campaign and go through the templars again but I was wrong. Just go to templar #16 on here ( http://www.assassinscreed-maps.com/Kingdom.htm ) and see if it's your last one.

Is it better to look for the flags/templars by redoing a memory block near the end or by starting a new game?


I'm going to do a complete new run anyway for the conversationalist and a couple of other achievements. But maybe its a lot more efficient to look for the flags/templars with the whole map open?


I'm personally leaning towards getting them all in a new game because that way I'm certain I haven't gotten any flags or templars.

There is no cheat that shows you where the flags are..

But, you could go through all of them again and I'm sure you will find the one you missed eventually.

I've been through the posted list of flags and am still at 99/100 for damascus and jerusalem and 98/100 in the kingdom. For working off those lists, are there ones that are commonly missed or easy to think you've gotten? I'd like to check those first before going back through all 300 flags (sigh).

Similar problem to above (98-99/100 in most), but I was wondering: when you select "All Elements" from the map menu, do the flags show up as elements there or are they totally hidden with no hints?
I'm just putting a finish on this game before Assassin's Creed 2 and want to not waste a ton of time.

There is no indication in the game on where the flags are. So, if you missed a few, you're going to have to go through them one by one until you eventually find the missing ones.

What I have done, is started a new game and then getting flags as soon as the memory unlocks for each area. I haven't played it since 2007, so it's not a big deal to me going through again.
