Advice on a first play through please.

Before I start playing the game are there many achievements that you can mess up if you are not doing things in the right order and are then impossible to do on that play through?

I see there are a lot of flags to collect, can you go back at any point you want and pick these up? Also do they have to be collected in the same run through or are they like the cog tags in GoW and the intel in CoD4 where you can pick a few up on each play through?

I think they are the same as the cog tags in in gears of war and intel in call of duty. P}ic them up as you go. It is impossible to get them all at once seeing they are scattered all over the place. Plus there are other things you will need to do collect throughout your journey so pace yourself

I asked this question as well in the achievement discussion thread. I think there should be one central place where you can find this information. Here is what I've found from reading around.

Conversationalist: If you miss a conversation you cannot go back and get it again unless you start the whole game over.

Absolute Symbiosis: You can finish the game without getting this, not sure if you can replay missions to remedy this.

Hungerer of Knowledge: You have to be quick during cutscenes to activate these, but luckily you don't need to hit every one. Still, if you miss too many you won't be able to hit the 85% required. I would like to know if replaying memories will allow this to unlock.

Disciple of the Creed: There are many discussions about this. The achievement says you need to assassinate all your targets with a full DNA bar, but what does that mean. Obviously if you elminate someone "without" a full DNA bar, you will not get it. This can be unlocked without "Absolute Symbiosis" There is not a lot known about this yet, please help us out with a description somebody.

These are all the non-secret achievements that may be problematic. If we can flesh out this thread, I'm sure it would help people keep certain things in mind so they don't miss any achievements.

I'd like to add that for "Hungerer of Knowledge" I just tap A during cutscenes that way I get the glitch as soon as it appears.

A good tip for flag collecting would be to take you time and before doing an assassination have a roam around the city looking for some flags. You don't have access to all areas the first time you go there so obviously you will be able to return later on giving you a chance to do more searching.

As for the full DNA bar I believe it means that you need to assassinate your mark without taking any damage before hand and with the little spinning double-helix over your health. So it would mean you need to copy the 'blade in the crowd' achievement requirements for EVERY mark (although it only unlocks once obviously =P) and just sneak up on them and introduce them to Mr.Stabbyhand.

I have made a full complete mapof the Masyaf Flags and i'm and the others are updating on the kingdom map ( soon I'll make maps for damascus, acre, jeruzalem too)

If you want to do it without a map.
Keep a count and a file next to of where you got a flag to not get lost with the last couple of flags, the first 20 are easy, but the other 100 are hard to get.
And indeed spam A during scenes etc for the glitches.

the DNA means to do every investagations, meaning save all citizins, view all high points and do all the pickpocketin/eavsdroppin/informent/introgate etc. the little bar thats like a DNA strain must be fulled. Remember the assassination itself is one bar aswell as going to get the feather.
