View Full Version : Conversationalist achievement, MAKE SURE YOU DO IT, can't go back

Well, I played through the whole game, thought I talked to her every time, but I guess not.
So now I've discovered you can't go back and redo the "present time" scenes when you play as Miles. And if you want to start the game over again, you can only overwrite your previous save. So use a memory card for the original save so you can put it back on afterwards to keep your flags process.
And am I right about this? or did I miss something. Cause I tried redoing the first and second missions with the Animus to see if I could play those earlier scenes with Lucy, but it just returned me to the end of the game when I was done playing the Altair portions.

I didn't talk to her after the training mission, the first time they tell you to rest. Does that mean I missed out on the achievement already? I talked to her after my first main assassination (before they give you 2 targets to choose) but not the first time.

I would probably say yes, since I thought I'd talked to her every time and checked all her emails each time too, but I obviously missed something. And you can talk to her more than once each time, so keep talking to her till she tells you to go to sleep

The first time I talked to her was right after I assassinated Tamir in Damascus. Are you able to talk to her before this point?

I'm pretty sure I spoke to her about growing up on a farm and getting a driving licence before I assassinated Tamir.

Man I for sure thought I talked to her everytime and now that i read about her farm days or whatever I definitely missed a conversation. THIS SUCKS. I do not want to go through the game again. These flags are already enough to go back and do.
I've missed it, but honestly I don't care. First play through I just want to get familiar with the game and levels. This is the kind of game I'll be playing through a few times anyway, so no worries for me.

i hate achievements you can't go back for. why no multiple save files? so what? i work hard, get all flags and then have to replay the whole game for her convos?

are there any other "can only get it one time through" achievements like this in the game?

In the game where you walk around as Desmenz, you have to talk to the lady Lucy. You talk to her everytime you complete a memory bank.... sadly I think I missed one

After reading this thread I though it wasn't possible to talk to Lucy after you do the very first memory block (the "Hero of Masyaf" achievement) Then after they tell you to rest I waited a while and Lucy went near those computers that has frost floating around them and I was able to talk to her twice, once about my life and the second was a question of how did they find me.

I'm just going to complete the game 100%, copy the save to a memory card, and start a new game on my hard drive. On my new file, (hopefully there will be a guide of requirements for this achievement by then) I'll just do the minimum amount of missions possible, talking to Lucy every time.

This is correct. For every memory block, speak to Lucy until she starts repeating phrases with you needing rest.

Does this include after memory block 0 (the tutorial)? I couldn't figure out any way to talk to her in that sequence. I pressed every button while standing as near her as I could and no response. I haven't talked to her yet so I hope I'm not missing something...

these achievements are a second rate way for developers to claim replayability on a title. but heres the real kicker...does this game have a "100% completion" achievement? those ones are the worse. because lets say you thought you did all the convos, so you went and did EVERYTHING else. at the end you figure out you missed 1 or more convos with this girl.
so now you have to replay, but you can't just breeze through the game and hit up all the convos. you need to do everything again for 100% achievement.
please, god, no 100%

The first time you can speak to Lucy is after her and the Doc come out of the conference room. You can speak to her twice before she starts asking "Aren't you tired?" or "Can't talk. Gotta work."
Those two lines are your cues to knowing you've gone through all the dialog in that particular segment.
The Doc will also move out of the room for the segments that allow you to speak to her. If he is in the room, Lucy will not talk to you.
Hope this helps anyone still confused about this achievement.

Refer to the bolded section. During that segment, the Doc is at his desk.

Which is exactly my point. If he is in the room, it is an indication that you do not need to speak to Lucy. I assume by "Life Down" you meant "lie down." Read my post again.
EDIT: I'll reword the sentence better in my original post to make it crystal clear.

yeah. this stinks. i walked all around the table, next to her, behind her, across from her and no action B button icon came up. didn't stop me from spamming it. she just stood there on the monitor typing away.
now here's another issue...lets say i go back and want to just get this achievement, how many of those memory bars do i need filled to gets permission from the assassins bureau to kill the target?

Fruhmann360, you're fine. You didn't mess up. But to answer your question anyway, you need a minimum of 2.

If the doctor is in the room you can't talk to Lucy. She will only talk to you if its just you and her in the room.
So in the mornings after you wake up you can't have a conversation with Lucy because the doctor is in the room. But it doesn't mean you can't do other things. So just don't lie down on the table right away. Try and find other things to interact with.

If you want to go back and redo it, you can't unless you start a brand new game.
But I don't think you missed anything.
