I'm right at the start of the game and I have a slight problem. Here's a quick description of my situation:-
I got to Damascus, climbed a view point and picked up a few information gathering missions on my HUD/map. I completed two of them (pickpocket and eavesdrop), saved a couple of citizens and then exited the game. When I reloaded it put me in the Assassins Bureau and it gave me the cut scene identifying my main target. I've now climbed just about every other viewpoint in the poor quarter but I'm not getting any more of the side missions, only the citizen saving tasks. I'd really like to complete all the jobs as I go (to improve my health) so how do I find these missing missions?

I guess you have to start a new game. When i gattered enough information to go to the bureau you can also choose to gather more information. Im still gathering information and getting new side-missions all the time. I first got all viewpoints open. So im guessing you have to do that. You chose to go for the assasination early.

This is a guess based on what i read here and my experience. So not sure..

edit..
the confersations you can listen to and peolple you can pick pocket also appeear and dissapear, it takes a while when they come back when you miss your change.

Can't you just finish the mission and then go back and replay that memory block to finish the side quest?

I also finished the mission without completing everything and I wanted to try and replay it so I could do all the side missions.

One time I accidentally went to the bureau and they have me the mission for the main target and I lost all the side mission as well. So what I did was I just exited the game and went back to the memory block section and when I loaded the game, I was in the middle of the city and all the missions had returned. It might just be a glitch for you though because that's pretty messed up.

If that doesn't work then you'll probably have to complete the assassination, exit the game and redo the entire memory block. But your view points will remain so you'd have to get all those again.

Thanks for the replies. This all cleared up once I went back to the game. It seems the "save" didn't save the fact that I'd been to the bureau and initiated the assassination, so the side missions opened up again.
