Combo Kill

If you perform a combo kill does it always do the animation? In the headquaters castle when you are sparing to train the new recruits how to fight, everytime I did a Combo Kill a little animation played showing me do it. I think i'm doing when I fight guards to save citizens, but not getting the animation. So am I doing Combo Kills or not?

I was confused about this as well. Whenever I try it against guards, seems like my attacks are always deflected. I've been using the deflect kill where you hold RT and push X as they attack.

Seems I answered my own question as I just got the animation. I was just pressing 'X' too quickly/slowly.

I was wondering the same thing when going for the 50 combo achievement. I know that I killed way more than 50 guards using the "combos" we weren't sure were combos, so I guess you really do need the little special camera angle for it to count.

Yeah I need to practice this one in the ring a few more times because I'm not getting any slo-mo on the guards when I think I'm comboing.

I think we're getting combo and counter-kills confused, though I'm not sure how to differentiate between the two.

Also, in x360a's achievement list, Eagle's Swiftness says
Perform 100 Counter Kill in Fights.
But on my Xbox (I have this achievement) it states:
Over 100 people have witnessed your deadly performance with a blade.
Hmm....:confused:
