Easy way to kill Templars

Once you get the Counter-attack, engage in a Templar fight and counter his attack. Right when he goes down, switch to your hidden blade (d-pad up), run up to him and hit X. You should stab him and take him down nice and quick.

I know it's a bitch to kill these guys otherwise, so this might help some of you :)

Yeah that's what I've been doing.

There's only been a couple that were in an awkward spot that you couldn't sneak to.

For them, I just slashed at them a couple times and then was able to push them away. Then I slashed them as they were on the ground/getting back up.

you can stab them in the back,

an easier way is to keep a decent amount of distance so they cant grab you, then counter their sword which throws them off balance, then just swing your ass off at them, each hit to a downed foe makes it so they cant stand up. if you find it too hard to get close to them you can release RT and press A to quick step at them then continue attacking.

i love fighting templar, ill even purposely get into a fight of 20 guys + 1 templar because the templar kills give 100% health on their deaths.

They look like the guys from Oblivion's Knights of the Nine, with big white and red armor. Also, they have buckets for helmets.

So are they spread through out the game. Like you are walking through a city and you might cross paths with one or what? Sorry I'm not very far in the game and don't know much about it.

The templars are not the enemy you fight all the time? What are those dudes chasing after you in the vids then?

No, those are just regular guards.

Templars are in fixed locations next to big treasure chests.

So you shouldn't miss them, they don't move. Also, if one chases you, he won't count towards the kill anymore as the game replaces him with another one by the chest while he's chasing you.

I actually was running on roof top evading guards and such in Acre today when all of a sudden when I was no-where near anyone, it gave me credit for a Templar kill. I have no clue what happened or why, but I'll take what I can get.

yeah you can also grab and throw them and then slash them when there on the floor or you can run them over with the horse (if you have one) and them jump off and run back to slash him. These both work perfect for me.

I actually was running on roof top evading guards and such in Acre today when all of a sudden when I was no-where near anyone, it gave me credit for a Templar kill. I have no clue what happened or why, but I'll take what I can get.

What happened was that while evading the guards you pulled a Templar without knowing it and somewhere along the way while chasing you he fell and died. I did it as well when I unintentionally agro'd one and he followed me, did a leap of faith and he jumped too - poor guy missed the haystack though. ;)

I guess he was tailing me and took a nasty fall on the rooftops...;)

Yeah Templars are easy foes once you get Counter. That 2-3 damage per hit seems intimidating at first then you realize they ALWAYS taunt you and leave themselves open for attack the second they see you.Counter, switch to hidden blade,unlock Target Lock if too far away depending on distance otherwise you might not reach in time, and hit X. Happy Hunting :D

Approach a Templar, equipped your Hidden Blade and when he attacks counter it with your hidden blade, instant kill.

I one hit kill the final boss with that method. It's super cheap/easy if you get the hang of it. You can one hit any person in the game with its lethal counter. Just don't get hit, you cant block.

True^. But I think kicking a Templar in his ass and passing him down a street is a lot more satisfying than......you know what? Nothing beats a hidden blade to the face. Period. xD

And in group fights, you can easily take down the group fairly quickly just by using the Hidden Blade.

As you are countering the aggressive enemies pay attention for visual cues on the other enemies. If someone taunts Assassinate them, if someone cringes (when you kill their buddies) Assassinate them, if someone looks off to the distant and isn't paying attention (I don't know WHY they do that but they do) Assassinate them.

But sometimes they will throw fake out hits at you, or they will do slow hits, pay attention to those. And if they grab you, Grab Break it and Assassinate them.

This method = Die super fast. Or. This method = Kill everyone super fast.

The lack of guarding is what is gonna kill ya.

Hmm I can counter with the normal blade just as well. Plus you can block with it. What is the advantage of using the small blade?

ya thats a easy way also i have found out if you can just sneak up on him and then just assassinate him thats pretty easy way to kill him also

I find that if you counter their attacks you never kill them, so the next best thing is to just smack them with your sword a bunch (the problem with sneaking up on them requires to know where they are (or running away when you find one then killing him later))

if you fail to sneak up and assasinate him, what i like to do is just run off to a nearby building (with a ladder) and just wait for him to chase me up the ladder.

when he is about to climb up on the ladder do a charge attack and knock him down. he will try to climb up again so just repeat till he's dead.
