Unusual gameplay questions

ok i have a few questions about the game that i havent seen posted yet.

#1 do npc's respawn? if i killed everyone in a city would anyone come back or would the city become useless?

#2 is the game gonna have different save spots. or will it be one save slot so you overwrite everytime you save the game?

#3 By flag locations do you just have to see the flag or do you mark it in some way. ( or take it)

1¤ yes (some guards dont respawn for a while... archers on the roof is 1 of them)
2¤ Only 1 save game... so do something wrong... and you'll hafto start the game over
3¤ Flags are scattered throughout the land... to get them you need to walk over them

so if i got the limited number of knives and killed EVERYBODY (citizens,guards,merchants) they would eventually respawn.

i dont like the 1 save spot...
