i just completed the game and damn, did it take me on a rollercoaster of emotions, well, heres what i got to say
pros:
-throwing spears is fun
-King Kong is a cool cat
-the shooting is fun
-theres an actual reason for why you can find guns and ammo around
-dinosaurs!!!
-interesting control scheme - R trigger basically does everything
-Killing the natives when you are controlling Kong
-Game picksup in the 2nd half
cons:
-throwing spears is fun until you realize thats about all youll be doing
-repeated mashing of a single button to do a finishing move :|
-dinosaurs - it kinda felt like I was playing Jurassic Park
-same environment for whole game except for one snippet at the end
-could this game be any darker?
-wtf happened to Jack Black's character 3/4s of the way done? (explained below)
-Jack Black's ending line :eek:
-hearing my characters heavy breathing every 5 seconds
-frickin dinosaur bats
-why am i being attacked by giant worms, wtf
-why is there no HUD whatsoever?!?!?!?!?
-1st Half is like getting blown by a girl with braces
-characters mouths dont move when they are talking
-the black guy dies
explanations:
Giant worms: WTF.
Character breathing: why is it, i hear my guy breathing everytime he moves, why the **** are you panting
Characters mouths dont move: this is supposed to be next gen Ubi.....
Jack Black's Ending Line - :mad::uzi::mad:
Seriously, wtf happened to jack Black: so we get knocked off of a log by Kong, he says go on without me since he feels worthless since he lost his camera. So me and the two guysmove on without him and dont hear from him for a while.....then all of a sudden, he comes back and captures Kong...again WTF
black guy dies: Ubisoft, you bunch of racists
Environment and Darkness: same environment for 98% of the game, not that great of an environment and holy balls Ubi, why is the game so frickin dark
throwing spears:fun stuff, but after the 1000th toss, its a little boring
where is my HUD: ok, i know you can turn on the "inventory," which I did, but that makes no excuses. I know the reason for no HUD was probably to give you more of a cinematic feel, but atleast give us the option for it. No health, no markers or anything. I have to keep a frickin eye on where that dumbass girl and crazy cracka Jimmy go
and here is my biggest complaint about the game:
REPEATED BUTTON MASHING TO DO A FINISHING MOVE!!!!!!!!111
I hate it in this game. I hate it in all game. I dont mind doing repeated button taps but frickin mashes, no thank you. Seriously, when they have you as Kong kill like 4 v-rex's in a row, im pretty sure my wrist was about to break.
i dunno what id give this game. It had its moments and its lowpoints. There were times when I thought Id give the game a 3.0 and for alot of the time, i thought it would earn a 6.5 from me, but after everything is said and done, i give it a 7.5 (.5 for being easy achievement points)
