So do you have to start a new game?

After winning on normal, it shows something like "Story" on my menu screen. If I select it, it starts me at level 1 again. Is that Fantasic mode? Or do I need to start a new game completely from zero power ups?

You have to start a new game at Fantastic difficulty with no power ups. You basically start from scratch is what I'm getting at.

Yeah, finish up any collection or power-up achievements before starting a new game, as you lose all your stuff.
