What is going on with IGN's Assasins Creed timer!?

Well, you might be wondering what this is about. I am wondering too!?
Today is the day Assasins Creed is released right? Well, this morning about 4 hours ago i was checking the launch center for Assasins Creed as i wanted to read the review. They have a nice timer there that shows the remaining time for the release. When i watched it sayd: 6 Hours 32 minutes and 58 seconds or something. 'Kool i thought, i will check again in 7 seven hours. But then...i take another look at the timer: 52, 51, 50, 49, 50, 51, 52...wtf!? The timer goes up again. So now its about 4 hours later and the timer is at 10 H!!? Does anyone have a clue what is going on here? I mean, you can't change the deadline 6 hours before it ends?

Maybe they had the shipping date and realized it wasnt a store release until the next day? Also maybe shipments are globally "late" lol Who knows...

Yeah, IGN is really weird in that they put the ship date as the release date. They probably just screwed up but fixed it. It's not available in stores today, it is tomorrow. Unless the store is doing a midnight thing that is.

All of our local stores are screwed up as well. Wal-Mart, Best Buy, EBgames...all selling it later today or even as late as Thursday.

Gamestop and bestbuy both said game is delayed a day due to shipping conflicts

The shop Im working in said they'd have it in wednesday/thursday. I can believe this, and have a feeling its true. We're in the UK, so there selling it a few das early ^^. Gotta love em.

after it reached tuesday it started counting up... shows how much ign knows about how to rate a game...... anyways does anyone know if bestbuy has the game yet? someone told me that they wont have it available until 2pm today (wed)
