Anyone actually get "Filthy Rich" achievement? (And other problems.)

I followed the walkthrough in the achievement guide to the T and did not get all the treasure chests. Yes, I got the two in the first part that the guide did not mention.. are there more he missed?

I also could never get 10 enemies on screen during the final boss battle, but I was on Easy, so I'm not sure if that was why. Most I saw was six.

I also never got enough experience to buy every combo in the game. I finished two categories, but not the third. I'm thinking this needs to be done in separate plays.

He says in his guide right before you encounter Bone cleaver for the second time, one will SOMETIMES either be the the right or to the left of the save point. maybe both. Well for me there were none. I reloaded it around 20 times to see if it would pop, but never did. I have all the ones he mentioned except that/those chests so maybe it's bugged. :/

I'm on the fight now on hard so I'll let you know if there are 10, but the best place Id say was in the level leading up to him. There are parts with wraiths and tar men where there are 10+, but I didn't do it yet either, just speculating.

updated: I do not see 10 + on the final fight at all. I'm on hard.

I was also only able to buy 2/3 combos. I think you need to play through again and focus on the last one.

The whole bugged treasure chest thing pisses me off and actually makes me less likely to play through again, but who knows.

Yeah, I remember him mentioning that part. If those are bugged out I'll be pretty pissed.

Guess I have to re-rent this sometime in the future, but I'm done for now. Extremely frustrating game...

Agreed. I'm going to possibly replay it, the chest are easily found w/o the guide after reading it once I think, but if I get to that part and they still are not there... well, at least I'll get the king , combos, 2h weapon, and 10+ kills.

Well, i read the Walkthrought, and i'm pretty sure some chest are missing. I have done the game about seven time (Need 3 hours to complete it in Easy so it's fast.) And i'm still missing X chest.
The real problem is that we don't have the total amount of chest, so for my part, i cannot know which one i'm missing... I may restart the game a bit later, so i'll quote all the chest i found on a paper and will see if they are all in the walkthrought (Some are pretty well hidden.)
The chest achievement is the only one i am missing.

For you 10+ guy to kill at the same time, you cannot do it with the Void as it takes down only Eight mobs maximum. And you cannot do it on the final boss, as i counted 9 mobs at the same time (What ever the difficulty, even on Expert.)

You can easily do this in the beginning of the last level where you'll find two spot where a lot of zombie are poping. Just get in a corner to regroup them near you and launch the Fire storm. That how i did it.

For the combo mastering, you CAN NOT learn all the combo on a single game. You have to do, at least, the game two time. Even on hard, where you got a lot of bonus when "comboing", you don't have enought XP.

Hey I found 2 that this guys guide DEFINITELY does not mention.
#1 In the level where you are heading to fight the sand dragon, there is that area where you have to push one pillar against the wall and push another over in front of that small crawlspace to get up there. Right before you see the dragon in the background knocking pillars over. Well when you jump up using the first pillar you knocked over, turn left and there is a wooden wall to break with the chest.
#2 In the room where A'kanna is tied in the cave just after you encounter Gorillamen the first time and she kicks that witch doctor in the mouth, there is a nook in the left of the room with a green vase and the chest.

:( I am. It's more fun this time around though because I know where the guide ones are and im searching all nooks/corners for any new ones. well... that isn't fun, but the infinite magic and impaling part is.

Update: Another tip. I got Strength of 10 men - 40g on the level AFTER the one where you sink the two boats. Later in this level, you climb cliffs and get up top, there is a bridge with about 13~ varied troops on it. The best part, there is a save point in a room right before the bridge. It only took me 2 tries. I ran past the first 4 into the group of 9~ and held block until they are were close and used my fire spell. I'm on King difficulty and it was very easy.

Also, I got to the part just before Bone Cleaver ( 2nd encounter) and there were 2 chests there, one on each side of the save point. They were NOT there on my previous play through. I don't know what to say, but whatever. Only difference on this game is I am on king, but I doubt that will change the chests and the achievement.

Update: Well I got Filthy rich just now. If you get all the ones in the guide + the 2 I mention 2 posts up and the 2 in the first training level, you will get it :D. Also, I got the combo on the very first set of guys in the last level. I think some people play on easy hoping for it to be, well easier. It wont be though, it will be impossible I think since they can take far less damage meaning less hits. I'd say play on king.

One weird thing about this achievement... I found another treasure chest after I got the achievement. Seeing that the achievement says " find ALL " , that's odd.

I got Meat Market - 30g playing on easy, dual wielding and doing either blade fury (Parry + X )or The Barbarian ( X , Y ) they both will make 6 limbs each. I got the achievement while killing Bone Cleaver's minions.

Just got "strength of 10 men" on king, against the tar zombies during the final boss fight. There was like 5 dudes out there, I used the void to kill them swiftly so I could focus on jumping over the tentacles (side note: worst bossfight ever), the zombies got sucked in and then the achievement unlocked. Weird.

About "filthy rich": 2 chests near the 2nd fight with the bone cleaver (side note: worst bossfight ever)??? Man, just did this on king, and there was NO chest here. What gives?

Ok, Johnissik is right.

With the walkthrought and the chest he quoted, you'll get the achievement.
(The one i was missing was in last level, when you have to go down ledge from ledge, with the tar falling down.)

I have numbered the chest in every level, here it is (As i don't play the game in English, i don't know how are traducted the levels, so i put something that give awhat the level looks like) :

1rst Level (Ruins) : 2 chests.

2nd Level (Pirate Island) :
Part 1 : 4 chests
Part 2 : 2 chests

3rd Level (Desert) : 5 chests

4th Level (Voodoo plains) :
Part 1 : 8 chests
Part 2 : 2 chests

5th Level (Nights Assault) :
Part 1 : 7 chests
Part 2 : 8 chests

6th Level (Argos Moutains) : 5 chests

7th Level (Kraken) : 0 chest

8th Level (City In Flames) : 7 chests

9th Level 'Snow Moutains ) : 8 chests

10th Level (Final level) : 4 chests.

Total : 62 chests to find.

i know i reloaded my checkpoint when they didn't show the first time and it didn't help because it was loading the same game. But when I played on king they were there. weird :S

I havent tried it yet due to AC coming out but I bet that the 2 chests before bone cleaver have something to do with killing the 3 archers outside of the door. First time throught the 2 chests were there for me, second time on Hard they were not.

I'm having a problem with this. So far I have gone through the game twice. Once on Hard and then easy. Now i'm on King. My problem is, everytime I play throungh the desert level, I get the Rune and the 5 chest, but at the end it says I only have found 5 secrets not 6. It's really ticking me off. I have spent way to much time on this sorry excuse for a game. Having to go through it again an again becuase of some dumb ass glitch that a 5 year old tester should have found isn't making my day. Did anyone else notice if it just comes up as 5 even though you got all 6?

make sure you get the last two that are hidden right before the Bonecleaver 2 fight. The only way these two chests show up is if you kill the three archers right outside the building Cleaver is in, throw weapons at them you can't reach them.

This game is definitely glitchy as all buggery. I too just got the filthy rich achievement early in the last level while I still had a couple more to go :confused:

One other thing that I don't understand is that during the second Bone Cleaver fight where he comes back from the dead I never had to fight his second part of the fight. I'm playing on Hard and im sure of it because when the game finished I got the complete on hard achievement. A friend of mine got the shits because he was also playing on hard same time as me and he had to do both stages of the Cleaver fight and was hard as hell.

My experience is that a lot of the achievments are glitchy. I got BOTH the kill 5 enemies at once and 10 enemies at once achievement from killing the lion in the Bone Cleaver II fight using stone prison.

I just beat Conan for the first time and I was really careful to look for all the secrets myself so I don't have to use a guide (I just hate having to stop playing and double-checking a guide).

Well, I got lucky and go everything on my first try.:woop:

The funny thing is that I also got the Filthy Rich achievement before I picked up my last treasure.

My totals were:
24 Maidens
12 Runes
62 Chests

Total: 98 secrets

Ok this is my first run through of the game I started on Hard and went through the guide got all of the chests +the 2 mentioned above and still no achievement, I even got the 2 that were mentioned that are sometimes not even there before Bone Cleaver 2. I know this achievement is glitched so does this mean I'll have to play through and find all chests again to see if it unlocks or am I wasting my time?

Do you think that being that the achievement is glitched that sometimes if you get a chest then you get a checkpoint but you end up dieing then you restart at your checkpoint and the game doesn’t recognize that you got the chest from earlier? If that is so then being invincible and grabbing all chests should help unlock it. Just a thought.
