grapple kills

Can anyone confirm what exactly makes a grapple kill? Im confused on whether they have to be killed by lets say a body slam type move, a throw and they die from the impact on the wall/person/ground or does the free fall one also count?

update: I looked at the moves list for hand-to-hand and see the BX and BY they are talking about in the guide. So it seems it needs to be a pile driver, back breaker or body slam. I did get my first 5 by throwing pirates into each other though at the beginning of the game. seemed a little confusing until now though.

I thought it would count any move that said "grapple" at the bottom when you were looking at the skill, but it doesn't. I got about 250 kills during the squid battle with the "monkey suplex" i think it was, and did not get any achievements. I didn't have the two moves in the hand to hand list purchased, so I will have to get my grapple kills on a separate playthrough...

i glitched the spawns both times i attempted this during the squid battle. the it got to the point where i would have to run down the ship one way and then back to even get a single spawn. ended up dying at 375 kills or so when i went to the next round of the squid creating oilmen. took a 10 minute breather and tried again. started glitching the spawns after about 250 kills. took about a hour and 40 minutes but i finally got 500 kills with only 2 spawning. now I just want to find a gun and shoot myself for wasting all that time on a 30 point achievement during the GSL.

For the achievements for killing people by death fall and for grapple kills, the easiest place to do this is the squid boss fight.

I think that if it says grapple it means you can't use that against the larger ungrappleable enemies.

i've been grabbing them and throwing them off of the boat. attempt number two. if i get the achievement for the 250 gapple kills, i'll confirm throwing them off of the boat as a grapple kill.

believe me that wont work.

best way is to start off a new game ( easy ) and keep making grapple kills. keep going until the squid boss. i needed around 200 more for the 500 achievement. you,ll can get it on that stage since enemy's keep respawning
