Do kills reset if you die?

Anyone know if the headshot, melee and explosion kills you've made still count towards the achievements if you die before a checkpoint? Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere :)

No, it all stacks up, you can even restart the level and keep your kills.

Those two answers contradict each other. One says yes, they count. One says no, they don't. Someone needs to clarify this.

Yeah I got my achievements by finding an easy part of the game, killing all the enemies there and then restarting. Same goes if you die, it all stacks.

Correct it all stacks i have 1000 GS in this game, (its a sick game) and yes it all stacks if you die or even just leave the game, whatever it remembers every kill you get.
