I was wondering if i should rent this or buy it. I heard the campaign is only 5 hours but the online multiplayer is phenominal. So what should i do?

Should have made a poll, I have bought it already. The multiplayer makes it sound like a buy.

Same as any other game if you are not sure...
First rent. If you like it, then buy it. If you don;t like it then return it and only be down 5 bucks instead of 60. Very simple.

well i do not have the game but i did play the beta back in September for about a month and i can tell you that multiplayer is worth the buy just by itself...graphics, game play, and presentation are all phenomenal and that does not even include the campaign which i have no doubt will be exceptional...its a definite BUY

the answer is always the same. BUY. it's call of duty 4, with infinity ward signed back on. not the trash that did CoD3. must have.

The Online Multiplayer makes it a definate buy. If you're not into Online much, then just rent it because all of the Achievements are Single Player. But, like Maka said, you will not be disappointed if you buy it. ;)

You will not finish the campaign in five hours on Veteran and likely not Hardened either. Buy it!
Websites need to stop giving opinions on length when they run and gun through it on easy or normal which is likely what they do for every game so they can actually go through whole games and have time to review them. Don't listen to any sites on length. Played at Hard or higher will leave you more than satisfied. Plus multi-player.

If you haven't bought it yet, then you're really missing out on a game that makes the most of your 360. I'd put this right up in that upper echelon of games along with Halo3, Gears of War, Oblivion, and Project Gotham. This is a superlative game technically and the progression-based multiplayer seems designed with the achievement whore point obsession in mind.

If you don't like multiplayer then I would say rent as you can beat it fairly quick (playing on veteran to max out points is another story though.) But if you have any interest in MP then it is a for sure buy!

Rent for single player/achievements. However if you want both single player and multiplayer CoD4 is an excellent buy by far.

I rented since the beta didn't excite me.
