It's as if a million anime purists cried out at once and then were suddenly silenced -- Ubisoft's Naruto: Rise of a Ninja (http://www.1up.com/do/gameOverview?cId=3159562) is out, but there's no Japanese voice acting. WHAAAAA?! Before rushing off on a quest for vengeance, take note that Ubi will fix their grievous error very soon. According to an announcement from the publisher today, a Japanese voice track for the game featuring the official voice actors for the anime will be available as a downloadable addition to the game via Xbox Live soon. Even better, said download will be 100% free! The list of actors (and their roles) includes:

Junko Takeuchi - Uzumaki Naruto
Kazuhiko Inoue - Hatake Kakashi
Chie Nakamura - Haruno Sakura
Noriaki Sugiyama - Uchiha Sasuke
Kujira - Orochimaru

great news, as i've always seen the series in japanese and i really like the voices :D

I bought the game assuming this voice download would already be available, when I found out it was still coming soon I decided not to play the game until it does. If anyone finds a release date for this patch, let us know cause I really wanna play it already.

I dont really care much for the voices being in japanese or english, as long as there are more downloadable characters. I know that shikamaru has been confirmed, but all the other genins should have been included as well.

It looks like there will be also the 3rd Hockage, Jiraya and another one (forgot his name).

I want to get this game but I would prefer to have the JAP voice :)

Wait the download is for just hearing the people talk in Japanese? I don't think I would take the time to download a pack just to hear them talk differently.

For most of us looong time torrenters of fansubbed Naruto eps, having Naruto speaking in his proper japanese as opposed to the excruciating english dub makes all the difference in the world. It would be like if Heroes (or Lost, or 24 etc.) was your favourite show and then somebody made a videogame of it with every one of the characters speaking spanish. Try taking your beloved show serious then...

i bought the very few shows that are available in the uk
and for some reason i cant get use to the english voices it just sounds so bad lol
i rather jus watch episodes wit the subtitles

Huh. Gametrailers had a review for the game that showed the content already available. I have no idea why they had it, though, when it's not available yet.

I don't remember but there is 2 coins that don't count when you grab them, that is why nobody has 1000. Ubisoft still have to hotfix this.
