Mission bugged?

I picked up the social mission "Replenish Herb Supplies" in Konoha, which requires 20 herbs to be picked up from near the temple, and there are no herbs there at all. Is the quest bugged? Has anyone else had this problem?

Additionally, if it helps, the quest scroll icon is still above the NPC, even though I have accepted the quest. Is that normal and I just haven't noticed?

I don't remember if the scrolls meant to stay above there head's, maybe it stays there until you've finished it?

I have never had this bug though, but sometimes i have got Additional herb's than are needed

I picked up the quest at the same time that I picked up another herb gathering quest in the Land of Water. Maybe that confused it! Tell me I'm not gonna have to restart the game! :(

Well...it wouldn't mess anything up unless two of the herb gathering quests were on the same map

Like Kawaii Evil, i've not encountered this problem either. Have you tried using an earlier save like auto save to go back to before you encountered the problem?

Oh! That reminds me of something lame that happened.

When i went looking for coin's one time i was running on some water with my Jutsu on, then a bandit on the ground (alongside the water) stopped me whilst on water and made me fight him.
Unfortunately after i had finished with him my new spawn point was over the water and my Autosave had also been Auto-changed to over the water :p

Try getting rid of another mission and go back to that one. The only time I got a mission bug was when I had to recover the treasure for the farmer, and the X mark didnt appear so I didnt know where to go...found it eventually but thats the only bug I have seen.

lol that sucks but i would load up a save from before you accepted the quest which would be the right thing to do

Yeah. A friend came round and I started a new campaign for her, she was (and still is) a Naruto fan.

It also wiped my autosaves.

Edit: To answer NEO CRIMSON, I have no other social missions, and there are no other ones available to pick up, but at the time I got the mission, I did a couple of others, so that hasn't solved the problem.

Just in case I'm being extra stupid (even though I've explored the whole game world), where is the Temple? It's at the top of the rushing rapids type area, isn't it? Or, is it where you get the potatoes for the farmer, which is on the way?

I picked up the two quests you're talking about at the same time and it didn't bust my game or anything. I believe only one quest can be active at a time. Hold X, then (while still holding X) press up/down to highlight the quest you want to do. That will make that quest your 'active quest'. If you've only got the one quest left then it should automatically become your active quest, but I'd give it a shot anyway.

Yep, it's the only active quest I have and there are no herbs to be seen. Where the hell is the Temple? Am I going to the wrong place?

Interestingly, even though I completed the quest at the Land of Water, there was still another herb there to pick up. Should I see if there are any more lying around, in case I need to collect them all before the ones by the Temple spawn?

I think the temple's the place up top of the waterfall

And you never need the extra herbs :p I have 3 more than i needed by the end.

You need to climb the tree and get to the rapid area (same area as the get to the top of the waterfall race) and then you can start collecting herbs, same thing happened to me and its a quest that doesnt actually mark a X on your map.
