Yes sir! Screw the Celtics. They still won't do shit with Garnett and Allen. The Bulls are one of the best teams in the east in my opinion. They have a great team and like I said a few years ago, they will be a great team in a couple years. They were young and getting to know each other. Now, they are a great team and alot more mature. I say this is the Bulls year. Please god, don't let me be dissapointed.

Especially now that they let Ben Wallance wear his headbands. I think that's why he struggled last season. He didn't do great like he was in the Pistons. I know it's a new environment and the team is real young and stuff but I think the whole not letting him wear a headband distracted him a lot. Can't take away something from a player that has been use to something for a long time.

It's tough for me to say who is going to take the East this year. It could either be the Bulls, Nets (if they stay healthy), or the Celtics. Yeah I said the Nets mainly because they did improve their bench a bit and kept their starters. They did so awful last season because they lost Kristic even though Moore did a great job. Celtics are going to do great mainly KG is going to take the load. Points, rebounding, and expect him to pass the ball a lot to a open Ray Allen, Paul P, and others. They can easily win 60 games this season if they can get along fine. As for the Bulls, they got the experience already. Now they just need to tune up more and they def. can win over 50 games. Sadly, I like the Miami Heat a lot but they'll probably get to the 6th spot in the playoffs. I don't see Shaq dominating at all. The guy is washed up in my opinion.

West coast, all I got to say the Spurs will be on top again in my opinion. Mavs and Suns will give them a challenge but everything else, ehhhhhhhhhh. Warriors can do something special if Stepthen Jackson doesn't get in trouble and distracts the team.

I really want to see the Celtics make a playoff run... but ultimately I want the Mavs to take it this year. If I can't get either of them, I will take the Bulls or the Suns too. ANYTHING BUT THE SPURS. I just don't like them. They are too boring for me. If Tony Parker wasn't there to keep me awake, I wouldn't have watched the finals last year at all. We all know Lebron was far from stellar in his Finals debut.

Anywho, Celtic pulled a win over Toronto on Saturday in Rome w/ the big 3 (KG, Pierce, & Allen) all scoring double digits.

Well the pistons rookies look pretty good in the first preseason game so if they can contribute and help the vets I think pistions have a good chance to win.

Pistons in the East. and my hometeam is the Blazers so i have to root for them. They will still do pretty good without Oden. I'm looking foward to seeing if the Warriors can continue what they did last year.

Glad to see some fellow Piston fans. Its way too eary to be talking about who will take the east or west. I don't see the Celtics being that great of a team this season. They were just tossed together and will have no chemistry.

Everyone is a Celtics fan now :p Now that the Celts have Kevin Garrnet, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and James Posey (so stacked) everybody loves them. All I care about is KG. I just hope he wins a ring. This team is star studded but we'll see how good the chemistry is.

But if you want to talk about the east, no one is going to win it except the Pistons. *Go Pistons* Cleveland got lucky last year ;) They should have never won. It left for a very unexciting NBA Finals. A sweep by the Spurs. Lakers are my other favourite team (Derek Fisher came crawling back. Mwhahaha). And Yes I'm from Canada, but I consider Michigan my second home. Toronto Raptors could win the championship for all I care and I would never cheer for them. I just really dislike them.

Also..Ewwwww.. Lebron :ass

Fine fine. You can lay one on me now :p No but seriously, I have been fighting for KG from day one. I remember when Tim Duncan won League MVP that one year. Such an outrage. Technically, KG should have won League MVP almost 3-4 years in a row. But since the team record wasn't always that great he never won it. I thought the one year when they had the Olawakandi, Sprewell, and Cassell team that they were going to win the chip but no dice.

Right now, I think Minny is better then they were last year. Before they didn't have as much talent through the positions and bench, now they have it everywhere. I think they'll have a good season. Also they have a ton of youth like Foye, Jefferson, Green, Telfair, Gomes and Brewer. They've all played max 3 years and have a ton of talent. You have the baby bulls and now you have the baby wolves.

I like Allen houston but I am worried he is going to come back to a bad knicks team and just re-injury his micro-fracture. I remeber when the pistons drafted him and lindsey Hunter.

Celtics beat the T-Wolves in preseason play last night. Both Garnett & Pierce were pretty cold, only scoring a few points, but Ray Allen had 28. I want to see them go up against a better team though and see how they handle themselves.

You cannot even judge a players or teams performance on preseason action. The games aren't even taken seriously at all and hardly anyone tries very hard. Plus you're playing your quality players a lot less then you would usually play them. This isn't even a slight indication of how well the Wolves or Celtics play. Even if they played someone like San Antonio and beat them, doesn't mean they would during regular season or play off since there is excessive slack during the preseason.

You're absolutely right, but when you look at the suckfest the Celtics brought last season to the NBA, I can't help but get excited when they actually win games, preseason or not. Three talented players have come together and appear to be meshing together quite well already.

Plus, the Yankees lost already, so I need something to be excited about in sports. :p

yep. the preseason in virtually every sport is a joke; nothing more than a warm-up and final factor in handing out roster spots. performance in them means nothing. (unless you are a rookie or someone fighting for a spot)

Haha, Josh Howard was suspended today for 2 games without pay for hitting Brad Miller in the back of the head with his forearm. Here's the link to the article about it on ESPN and it also shows a chart with everyone who's starting the season suspended.

I'm kind of surprised that no one is really using this thread to talk about the season thus far. I was at the Boston Celtics vs the New Jersey Nets on Saturday and that was a very exciting game... until the third quarter. In typical Nets fashion, they blew the third quarter and Boston remained undefeated. Good times.. oh! The row in front of us, someone threw up, it was funny as hell.

They were 8-0 they lost to my hometown area Orlando Magic. But I still see the Celtics winning it at the end of the season. The Magic always fizzle out midseason and barely squeak into the playoffs where they end up playing the best team and losing first round without fail.

I can't believe their roster either. Zach Randolph, Jamal Crawford, Stephon Marbury, Quentin Richardson, and Eddy Curry. That's the most stacked starting line up in Basketball, yet they perform so terribly. Is there something I'm missing?

As for mah Lakers, woot! We are winning midway through the 4th. I'm definitely impressed with Andrew Bynum and Jordan Farmar. They're both playing extremely well especially Farmar coming off the bench.

lol yeah your missing the fact that the knicks minus randolph are a bunch of streaky shooters. eddie curry can't play more then 35 minutes a game whether its foul trouble or just his size. richardson is beat up. they have no solid scorer off the bench. they have horrible shot selection....and people know you can drive the paint on the knicks.

im a knicks fan and i just had to air them out. they have tons of good players, but no one other then randolph who is consistent. minus today randolph scored like 20 points a game.

Well on Inside the NBA tonight, they had a discussion about the Knicks entire team just quitting. Thats the problem. When you play so horribly, have had so many problems with your coach being in the media, they have nothing to be encouraged about. They make millions of dollars, its hard to be rich and have to work hard at the same time. I dunno what the solution is but Im guessing the start of a solution is to fire Thomas (should've been done a while ago) Im not a knicks fan and probably never will be but I feel really bad for the people who are fans.

Whoever thinks Nuggets are going to finals is living in Fantasyland. NBA is back, its like mid 90s again we have bunch of good teams. Even below the radar teams like Portland, Atlanta, Clippers are doing pretty good.

I don't care much for Ray Allen but KG really brings intensity to Boston and with Paul pierce being a good shooter, Ray Allen's addition just seals the deal. Can't wait till Piston & Celtics go head to head next time.

My Chicago Bulls are doing terrible so far. They usually start out bad every year tho. I'm glad they didn't get rid of pretty much their entire line-up for Kobe. Although I would have loved to see him in a Bulls jersey, that's just to much future-talent to be getting rid of. That you've been building for a few years.

Wow, no basketball fans on this forum? Well, let's see what's been big this year, Knicks SUCK!!!!! Celtics are amazing, even though I was totally thinking the opposite during the off season and the Bulls fired Scott Skiles today. Wow, didn't expect that. He's the best coach we've had in awhile and I don't blame him for our shitty start. I haven't got to watch many games this year, but, from what I see the Bulls just don't get along and aren't playing well together. We have good players and good enough players to be one of the top teams in the East. We just are clicking together yet. Soon my friends, soon....

Anyways, here's the link to the Skiles's story:

Yeah if I'd been betting on who was fired first Thomas or Skiles, I'd be a poor poor man.

I think Chicago jumped too quickly (new coaches aren't a magic pill, and if they're available in the middle of the season they aren't that great) and New York is waiting too long.

Maybe Skiles will end up in NY by Feb.

All I can say is that my Lakers are looking good. Bynum has developed into a huge force in the pant, good enough to stop anybody besides Ducan in my opinion. We finally have a point guard, fisher, instead of that bum Smush Parker we had for 3 years. Trevor Ariza and Odom provide a great outside game. We have one of the best benches in the league, oh and we have Kobe. This could be the year we actually by the Suns in the second round, I hope.

Alright, my Blazers are playing good. i don't know how to react to this. I've seen it before and they blow it. hard. I can't help but be optimistic though. So young, and playing so well together means a bright future, i didn't expect it now. merry christmas to me.

(P.S. to the knicks fans out there... you guys were better off without randolph. that guy is a freakin cancer. i've never seen a more selfish person in the NBA. if he hasn't already started talking, he will and it will hurt the team even more. pray for a trade to get him out of there after the year.)

Am I the only Mavs fan here? :P Unfortunately, we've been pretty irregular this season (defeating Phoenix, Houston, Orlando and losing to Washington, Denver, at home, is just ridiculous) But I still believe we will make the playoffs and hopefully get to the semi-finals at least.

Btw, Nowitzki is the best player at NBA! lol

I'm still in shock that the Celtics are playing this well. Yeah, I know they have a ton of talent on their team right now... but the best record this season? Crazy stuff for a team who only won 24 games last season. I got to watch the Lakers/Celtics game while I was in Vermont for New Years, and that was fun. Watching the lakers in their ridiculous 80s shorts... no wonder Odom tackled Allen.
