At the yearly EB Games conference, store managers were given this Assassin's Creed comic book after seeing a thirty minute demo of the game. The comic shows a lot about the plot of the game and it's basic concepts, so as not to give away any plot points or spoilers only the cover is attached below.

why is this set in the modern day? in the comic theres 2guys with ties on, and nice suits and nicly styled hair, i doubt that had that like 2300years ago

did you read the whole thing from page 1 to 9? have you ever heard of plot twists - it seems that this game has alot more involved then just some assassinations during the crusades

Oh my god, it would be so cool to be an Assassin in the future. It will be like Assassins Creed/Free Running. XD

Its going to be awesome to see how the game progresses. Apparantly, everything will be explained, in terms of the future angle, less than a minute into the game. Its supposed to be a trilogy, so its going to be sweet to see how they take it forward.

Trilogy? Haven't seen that one anywhere... Where did you read that? Though it wouldn't be surprising... Everything is a trilogy these days. It's the hip thing to do apparently.

I'll hold judgment until I play the game, but I honestly was more excited when it was just an assassin during the crusades... Everything has to have a 'future' take on things anymore, and it's starting to wear on me.

Side note, in the comic... does that 'glowing table' (for lack of knowing what to call it) on page 4 and a few other places remind anyone else of the movie The Thirteenth Floor? I'm sure (well... I'm hoping) it works and/or is completely different, but thats certainly the first thing I thought of when I saw it.

Although i haven't seen anything about this being a trilogy, i know that there are books coming out, first showing what happened before the game. I'm guessing the others will be the actual game storyline (like the comics) and after (the first, maybe) assassins creed. I guess they are either hiding it to look at the plots, see what people are predicting to happen and change it or are waiting to see how popular it actually becomes, no point wasting money when people don't want to pay for another peice of garbage, though this has now more hype than the original halo and oblivion.

yeah I heard that he's a time traveler from the future year 2500 something and going into the past to kill enemies.

I have to say that I'm not too happy about the future element of the game. Even if they just put the assassin in the time of the crusades it would have been innovative and intriguing.
