Next step for Farve? I say, retire. He needs to leave and go out with a bang and I think this is that bang.

Favre needed to retire a long time ago. I'm not shocked he broke the record. He just keeps coming back over and over again. Hopefully he retires and gives Aaron Rodgers the chance he deserved a long time ago.

he's still playing because he thinks he can still win. I guess he was right. i would be shocked if he doesnt retire after this year, but i don't want to see rodgers take over (please god no). The only record i could see him not getting if the total yards... i don't think that's not enough of a reason for him to come back again at the age of 97.

Why wouldn't you want Rodgers to take over? He's an excellent QB. He was picked for a reason and GB got so lucky to get him so late in the draft. He hasn't even got a chance. I mean when did he even get to play any downs? And who else would you rather have? He was highly touted at the time of the draft. But anyways that's off topic.

I'm surprised the Packers are doing so well. He seemed pretty pissed that they didn't snag Randy Moss in the off-season but they're doing pretty damn good now. 4-0 and he's how old?

I hope Favre keeps doing what hes doing...why you ask? Because he is in my fantasy football league! lol

But yeah he should retire after this season. End on a high note.

to quote the great john madden "brett favre is a great player, you could take off his arms and legs and he'd still be the greatest torso in football." now that being said, i like favre, he came froma little school in mississippi and hasn't forgotten about it.

I agree, Fonkey.

I'm happy for Favre and I hope he retires as a Packer. If he decides to play for a couple more years and he goes to another team...I'll be speechless.

I can't really see him going somewhere else. I think even if he wants to still play and the Packers won't sign him that he will retire so he can retire as a packer.

well, i knew it would happen against us (vikes)... at least we are in the record books in that sense :p

it was surprising to see the great standing motivation and cheers he received from his rivals, but i suppose there were a lot of wisconsin people there too... ;)

i do not cheer for him. and i enjoy it when they lose, but congrats to him regardless.

Not surpirsed Farve is a really good QB not saying the best all-time, but he is a tough guy that has shown how good he is even when he hasn't had all the tools. GB will miss him when he retires which will probaly be after this season.

If he stays injury-free, he'll shatter many, if not all QB Records. I really have faith in Peyton Manning. I think he's a fantastic player and before he retires...I'm sure he'll win a few more Super Bowls.

P.S. I'm not a Colts fan.:p
