Does anybody know if the kills with certain amounts (250 grapple kills, impale 100 enemies, etc...) count towards new games?

I finished the game today and started again on Hard. I now kill every possible pirate with a parry attack but I didn't get the achievements for the 100 parry kills yet..

It seems that I am the only member here that has the game already so I'm having a monologue ;)

It seems that the kills with certain amounts have to be done in the same playthrough.

Tonight I will begin a new game and I count the parry kills I make.

The "Death Rain" achievement can easily be done on the ship during the fight with the squid. As long as you don't kill the squid there will always be new enemies. And I think the dismemberment and the grapple achievements can also be done during this fight.

I'm not quite sure if there are spikes on the ship but if there are you can also do the impale achievement

How do you perform a Parry Kill?

Do you have to throw someone from a curtain height to be a death fall?

Coz i throw three people of the rope bridge on the second level and only got the achivment for the last one i threw off.

Also how do you impale some one, do you just throw them into the spike?

I did the parry kills with two swords.

In the moment they attack just before they hit you have to press the left trigger. A button shows up on the screen and when you hit it in time you will perform a parry kill.. you know it because it is very very bloddy ;)

Yesterday I began a new game and I killed almost everybody with a parry attack and I got the 100 kills achievement way before the bone crusher.. and also the one for 500 dismemberments.

To impale enemies you just have to press B once so you lift them up and throw them into the direction you look.. and yes, just into the spikes.

For the throwing achievement you can wait until you fight the giant squid on the ship. As long as you don't kill the squid there will always be new enemies so you can throw them over the rail next to the squid.

I dont think this game is going to be released in North America until the end of Oct.

The gameplay video looks great and I am looking forward to playing as Arnold!!!

There's a rumour that Ron Perlman has voiced Conan but I don't know if that is true.

For the few lines he says throughout the game the voice acting is acceptable..

Can you tell me if you need to do the kills without dying or can you for example, kill 10 guys, die, reload a checkpoint, kill the same 10 guys again and get the achievement this way?

Dying is no problem. But as far as I discovered you have to do the kills in one single playthrough. The stats are not accumulated.

Example (imo): You save with 54 kills, kill another 25 enemies and load the game again: You have 54 kills.

I only see some problems with the 100 impales and the 100 throwing thingy.. the rest ist pretty straight forward.

my best combo is 41 hits and that was on the ship fighting the squid but i had a better combo about 78 hits in the dark prison level but i fell of the ledge and died so i don't have either of them

Yeah I live in North America and this game has not yet been released. The achievements look decently easy though. Will be giving this game a try when it is released over here.

I'll be getting this game when it comes out in the US. I was always hoping someone would make a game about this. The movies were somewhat retarded in terms of acting and such, but the action and swordplay was pretty cool.

Achievements look pretty attainable too which are always nice.:)

Well been playing the game for an hour now and it seems pretty good.

I been trying for the parry achievements and i have noticed that instead of hitting block at the right moment and hope i get the right timing for it.
What i have been doing is hold block and the moment you see the enemy start his motion to swing, just quickly let go of block and quickly press it again and keep held so you can press the appropriate button without having to have lighting reflexes to get right timing down.I just find it much easier this way.

I have done it on every single nemy thus far and got a parry on every single one.
(well considering im only on stage 2 and excluding the stone fighters.)

yea i was thinking maybe they had like an arena level option once you beat the game to get all the achievments, but instead they decided to make us play the game 2-3 times. but i do know you can still unlock ach. with the cheats activated. and you have to beat the game on hard or king to get the invincible cheat.

Most stupid of those kill achievements is that boulder throwing one, that must be a real pain. I didn't even bother with it. It's also funny that I didn't find all the maidens and chests, not even 50 chests, even though the game is so linear and all.

I've been halving an ok amount of fun Conan for the past couple days but there is no way I would play through it again for the sake of a couple hundred achievement points. Really sucks that stats don't carry on to other playthroughs or I might have been tempted.

NOT TRUE, YOU CAN GET ACHIEVEMENTS WITH THE CHEATS ON.

I got untouchable using the invulnerability cheat,

I also beat it on hard with the song of death cheat on,

and I beat king with the song of death and armor power cheats on.

The cheats are earned in the game so the devs thought it would be ok to let you get achievements with them on.

Okay, I had a quick question. My stats say that I have found 79 of the 100 "secretes" in the game, and still no achievement. Same thing happened my last playthrough. Has this happened to anyone else?

On Graven I need help on how to pass his third battle on the gear part, meaning his 6th fight with him how do you kill the tar dudes, dodge and turn that gear with half health? Thanks!

just abit! tbh tho im not completely sure i understand it either.. if that like just throwing objects at bad guys or actually throwing the people (go up press B when stunned) and throwing them till they are dead.. coz atm im trying both but man its taking all day .. anyone actually know the proper way of doing this? Great if i can get some feedback :)

My method (works on hard and king difficulties):

1 - while fighting graven, make sure you use the song of death in order to refill your magic. best move IMO: x x x x y with the dual swords then guard then repeat, dodge backwards when he prepares one of his unblockable attacks, try to be aggressive in order to keep the combo chain alive.
When the song of death meter is 3/4 full, lots of blue orbs + green orbs will appear. For the record, I made a 240 hit combo on this part, this is really a pushover. After the QTE comes the "gear" part:

2 - use the void magic in order to kill the tar zombies.

3 - jump over the tentacles until graven ceases his attack (maybe he needs to catch his breath from time to time)

4 - turn the gear.

5 - repeat.

Game Glich solved.

On City in flames at the very end there is a save game point right before the 2nd bone cleaver battle. their are supposed to be 2 chests one on either side of the same game. this portion is gliched or mabe supposed to be this way but to get these chests to appear you need to kill the three archers on the balcony just outside this room without any of the three civilians being killed.

an easy way to do it is run to the front of the balcony as soon as you open the dorr and do your ground and pound magic attack and all of the falling rocks kill them very quickly. Hope this helps.

Has anyone confirmed that the kills you get for using boulders and grapples stacks? like you have to play through this game twice to get all the achievements. so could i do 100 parry kills on hard then another on king?

I can now confirm that removing limbs from the purple-brown flying demons counts toward the 1000 limbs removed achievement. I was working on this achievement and got it while killing these birds :)
