i have the wurst connection ever i can barely connect to anyone but what it did do in halo 2 was that i became so good because i had to try extra hard to win, and now im level 50 snipes, slayer and skirmish.
My connection has been pretty iffy lately as well. Do modems need to replaced every couple of years or what?

Isn't Hughesnet a satelite service? I never knew they had DSL I only thought it was satelite. If by chance you do mean satelite then yes, the upload speeds they have are hidious. I want to say no higher than 256kps or less.

yeah, where i live in bfe, that's the only highspeed internet connection that's available. which really breaks my heart because i've had this game reserved for like 7 months.

Pwned. If you're stuck with hughesnet, can't help you. I turned off my computer and it gotter better on my side. My friends did the same and it got pretty stable.

haha, i connected it straight to my modem last night, and it still lagged. how gay is that, paying 70 bucks a month for dsl and can't even play live.

Direct tv used to offer dial up. Hughesnet offers something like 1.5mbps for a ridiculous price, and you get your very own gigantic satellite dish.

it's not, i just called them and they said that it has a 3-5 second lag. how homosexual. also, the dish isn't that huge, it's about the size of a direct tv dish. but yeah, it's 80 bucks a month for 1.5mb dsl.

I didn't even know you could get on XBL with satellite. I thought you had to have cable or DSL (you keep saying you have satellite DSL but I think those are completely different). But there's no surprise that satellite internet is going to be deficient for gaming, it's always going to have an inherent letency of a couple seconds, at best.

Why don't you just go with comcast or something? My cousin has comcast and I envy his connection. I wish we had something of that speed here in Canada but unfortunately Rogers and Bell sucks period compared to Comcast in America.
