Yeah well something crazy happened to me today and I thought I'd share it here so yeah.

So I go on Facebook and I see a friend request sent by one Stephanie Goodwin. She is my cousin who i haven't talked too in about 5 years. I was shocked and immediately accepted the request. Her E-mail address was on her profile so i added her on MSN. So about an hour after she got online and we started to talk about life and what not. Let me give you some background story. My parents split up like 7 years ago and my dad moved into his fathers house (my grandfather who died about 4 years ago) and lived with him for a while. Around the same time my Aunt (fathers sister) split up with her boyfriend who she was living with and also moved in with my grandfather. So my Dad, Aunt and my two cousins were living with my grandfather.

I ended up staying with my mom. Anyways when this happened i got very close to my cousins, whenever i went to visit my dad i would spend most of the time with my older cousin Stephanie (who is 14 now, she was 8 or 9 years old back then and i was 12 or so) So any my grandfather ended up dyeing from liver failure or something, He was 69 years old. So my dad, Aunt & my two cousins had to move out and find another place to live. My dad got his own place and i still visited him regularly but I never did see my cousins again, Until today 5 years later. My Aunt was a big drinker and truth be told she didn't raise my cousins properly and it cause the whole family a lot of confusion and pain. She hated my mother with a passion and equally hated my father. My father hasn't talked to my aunt or her kids ever since my grandpa died. And either have I, But today she adds me on facebook and MSN! and to top it off she called me and we had a full length conversation. Then my aunt came on the phone and requested to talk to my mom. She apologized to my mother, for all the terrible things she did and said to her when she was an alcoholic. My Aunt says she has been clean for about 2 years which is great for her and Stephanie. It really shocked me to see my mom and Aunt talking again, they used to be the worst of enemies. My father still hasn't talked to my Aunt or Stephanie but i am sure he will forgive and forget like my mom did. Or maybe not but who cares? I found my cousin and a long lost friend who helped me through a dark time in my childhood http://boards.1up.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif. My mom and Aunt made arrangements for us to visit them in a few weeks, they live about an hour away from me. And i can't wait to see her again. The last time i saw her she was 8 years old and I was 12 years old. She is now 14 and I am 17. Hopefully we can get a game of Halo 3 in http://boards.1up.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Anyways if you read thanks for reading I just thought i'd share.

There is nothing more important than family, mano. Glad to see that you are having a positive relationship with some long lost relatives.

More intersting? In what way, Jar?:p

Isn't it kind of funny how sites like MySpace, FaceBook, and others bring you to long lost friends or family? I've had many FR from old friends I haven't seen for years. It's pretty crazy when you think about it.

That was truly a heart-felt story, Jar. Sometimes it's more Faith, than it is Coincidence.
