So I know over heating is a big problem for xboxs but how does cold affect electronics? I have a old mini fridge i can convert into a console case. Would this damage it?

Operating temperature: 5 °C to 35 °C (41 °F to 95 °F)
Extreme colds can cause damage or sluggish performance, especially for memory or magnetic drives. Not sure I'd recommend it though.

Correct Clipse.
I would not recommend using your fridge as a console case for the 360. Too cold and too hot are all the same. It'll damage your console.

You know, you could just put your 360 in the freezer, that would cool it off too. :p
Kidding kidding. But please, don't put your 360 in any sort of fridge/freezer. Nothing good will come out of it!

So I see they sell temperture control cabinets but i cant find specs for them. what is the ideal temp?

Well the operating processor temperature of the 360 is around 150 °F give or take and thats at room temp; around 72 °F. I would say if you can drop it 40 °F it would be perfect, however that would put it out of range for its recommended environmental settings. And I've only heard of the temperature dropping down that much through water cooling; which would be a lot smarter than climate controlled cabinets. Problem with water cooling is that it requires physical modification to your console which voids the warranty.

That fridge should create condensation. Big no no.

I saw a video where a guy overclocked his computer with liquid nitrogen cooling.

For the 360, condensation is deadly. You probably wouldn't want it any lower than 70 degrees Farenheit. It is highly dependent on the humidity. My HD-DVD player came with warnings in the manual about if transporting it through cold weather, not to let it get cold and not to start it up until it got to room temerature. There were also risks of using the player in high humidity.
