I beat the game on easy, and I want to get the hard achievement by replaying the levels on hard. When I select a level under level select, then change the level difficulty to hard, then play and complete the level, it does not update my current difficulty. It still says easy. Am I doing something wrong?
UPDATE: 5/5/2006 I was able to complete the hard achievement by going back and replaying the levels. This means that if you have already beat the game on medium or easy, and have already done the time trials, you can use all the cheats to complete the game on hard. You just have to make sure you play and complete ALL levels, as there is no idication that it is working and the game does not tell you that you beat it on hard until you finish all levels on hard. You CAN do the levels out of order.

what you do to get this achievement
you have to start a new game and set it to tomb raider dificulty, otherwise it will not give you the achievement
i replayed all the levels on hard to find this out, you have to start a completely new game.

Yeah, I am getting conflicting reports....my problem is that I don't see anything update once I beat the level on hard. It still says easy as the current difficulty.

It should work. I replayed all levels, and just changed the difficulty settings to hard, and i got the achievement after doing all missions again.
Maybe the difficulty goes back to easy after you've completed one and you forgot to change it on every mission?
There are btw no way to see which difficulty you've completed a level in, so you just have to start on top and work your way down :)

hmm...ok well I guess i will go through all the levels on hard then and see what happens. It's just weird that it does not update and say my current completed difficulty is hard.

Doadea, sorry for the confusing 360 messaging. I believe routine is correct. You may have to restart all over again. There may be some kind of glitch or something that is keeping you from this. If all else fails, get all the other achievements, then delete your game saves and start from scratch on hard. I hope it works out.

Are you sure about this routine? When I go to level select, then select difficulty, down at the bottom it says current difficulty or something...I would presume that is where your current completed difficulty would be listed, as mine says easy.

That's pretty messed up that you have completed all the time trials (which are much harder than "hard" mode) and it still doesn't give you the achievement. The bright side is that you know all the stages inside and out if you have start over, right?
