^^^ Here's the link from the Giants official site.
I kind of saw this coming. The entire franchise needs to get over his HR record and concentrate on bringing in some fresh faces that can hit.
Absolutely, NO offense this year besides Bonds, of course and Bengie Molina being work horses.
Who will sign Bonds next year? Will year team want him?
Feel free to discuss guys.

my opinion is he should just retire and save himself the embarassment of moving to another city and having the fans boo him. i don't like barry bonds, and not many people (besides the ones in san-fran) do. yeah he broke the home run record, whooptie do, hank aaron did it without hgh or roids. in my eyes, bonds is everything that baseball is not. he's selfish, has a really bad attitude, and needs to get over himself.

Actually, I'm a Giants fan from S.F., but I'm not a fan of Bonds.
Don't get me wrong, he has helped us for the past 15 years, but I'm more of an A. Rod fan and I hope the Giants sign him. Yeah I know, keep dreaming...:p

well a-rod, no doubt will eventually pass Barry. But in all reailty Bonds will sign with an AL team next year and DH, then he'll retire

if he bounces around from team to team it will only diminish his already diminishing career.
my advice to him: retire. and get yourself far far away from baseball.

I personally think he should retire and leave everything as is. But deep down inside, I know he'll sign with an AL team and play DH, just like what Brett said. That suits him well since he still wants to play.
Go to the Yanks, so we can have A. Rod!:p

He just needs to retire and that's that. A cheater shouldn't be allowed to continue to play and add to a record that he doesn't deserve to have. I can't wait till he retires and A-Rod breaks his record that way we never have to hear about Bonds again.

I just hope Zito can come out of his shell there, he was amazing at Oakland, and next year he'll [hopefully] be like he was then.

I was expecting more out of Zito, but I can't blame him or any of the pitching staff. The blame really goes to the offense. No hits and no runs.
Just look at Matt Cain's record this year. I can't blame the kid for everything. They're a team and seriously, they need some big hitters next year.
A. Rod?:woop:

If the Giants got A-Rod it wouldn't be a tragedy here, everyone in NY treats him like garbage when he isn't performing that well and then they treat him like a God when he hits a game winning homerun, a bunch of bandwagon jumpers.
BTW, I'm a Yankee fan, but I hate Yankee fans, if that makes sense. -_-

I understand exactly where you're coming from.
When we have the Battle of the Bay games(Niners and Raiders, and Giants and the A's), you have some rude @$$ fans. I just like to sit back and enjoy the game. I will still root for my Niners and Giants of course, but some fans go way too far.
Here at S.F. we don't really treat Bonds like how N.Y. treats A. Rod. I have hardly heard anyone ever BOO Bonds that was a Giant's fan.

We have the same thing...
Jets vs. Giants (rarely)
Yanks vs. Mets
Knicks vs. Nets
Rangers vs. Isles (or Devils)
...all the fans of each can get a bit crazy and assholish (lol) especially Ranger fans, they have no regard for anyone but themselves.
Back to the topic, I don't think many people will be interested in Bonds since the whole steroid thing and all. But then again I've been wrong before. ;)
