Not Very Good Apartment Horror Tales

Just moved into a new apartment up at school, and have only been here a week and have had no hot water because the hot water heater didnt seem to be working well at first, so the repair guy came and told us that it NEEDED to be replaced, so they have been working on getting that done for a week, and finally are going to have it installed tomorrow morning at 9am.

THEN, this evening our oven decided to start randomly shooting sparks and flames out the back till it blew the fuse.

so freaking nuts, we are seriously scared for our fridges life, lol.


anyone else had horror stories of new apartments or houses?

My roommate is crazy...he stole my credit card and tried charging shit on it then put it back on my desk and said he never used it. He then got 2 summary offenses for stalking his ex-girlfriend and is a complete douche beyond all control....

Plus my landlord is a dick and won't fix a fan or a light we've asked to have fixed since the day we moved in May 15th....god i love college apartments...

the place i just moved into back in march just sucks now, when i moved in i noticed a few things wernt working as they should, like the kitchen sink barley has cold water its like a drip, the fridge is no good and a bunch of little issues. i talked to the landlord about it and he agreed to fix it, then 2 weeks later he sold the house and now the new landlord is just a complete asshole and hasnt fixed my problems yet, and to make it worse he had work done on the second floor and they caused a wicked water leak that knocked out my phones and now i have a messed up ceiling in the kitchen. it sucks here i am seriously thinking about moving

Car was robbed, father next door beat his kids out on the street. Other neighbors were certified gangsters. And the apartment across from me and down a few rooms had a triple murderd in it. Needless to say I broke the that lease and got the fuck out.

Ha, I've had so many I could start a book :p I'll give a few gists....


Drug addicted, stealing housemate who not only stole from my mates but decided to upset some very serious drug barons :eek:
Housemate who had no respect for his housemates and wanted to party every night by inviting 20+ people round to our house EVERY night and get wasted till 6 in the morning
Debt collectors coming round and kicking the door in on our first day because of previous tenants
Heating problems throughout the winter (oh my, it was cold!!!!)Those are the worse :p
