Ook, my sister that lives up in VA just told me that she had a baby today(a girl) and this is the first I'm hearing this she said "I told mom back in June and told her to tell you" well she didn't and you know why? because my sister's baby's daddy is black and my mom being the uber racist she is told my sister to have an abortion and she didn't so my mom stopped talking to her.
Isn't that the most fucked up thing? She's my fucking sister I mean Christ I should know these things ( I mean I should have called her but I got new phone and lost everyone's numbers) I can't wait to move outta this bitches house.

How old is your sis? Having a baby is pretty dumb if you don't have good income or education. Sorry for everyone who has a child and is struggling to survive (not that they would be playing 360) but having a kid screws up your life. As for being racist, it really depends. If your sis can't handle a baby, maybe your mom was trying to look out for her when telling her to get an abortion and is now trying to limit her liability from your sis if her life is gonna get screwed up. I don't think wanting your children to marry the same ethnicity is racist as long as it doesn't extend to having them as friends. I wouldn't marry a black person but I still have black friends and I don't consider myself racist.
I also think they better get married because it is a human being that they created and should be raised to be a productive member of our society. IDK not being married automatically makes the relationship seem kinda temporary.

Same here. Infact i am a racist-ist (not to be confused with racist , a racist-ist is a person who doesn't like racists). ;) And yes i made that word up.
As for your mother, only you know her, why not talk to her about her race issues and sort them out, instead of saying you can't wait to get away.

I've been saying racistist for years. Not accusing you of stealing it or anything, it's just cool that I'm not the only person to think that that's a useable phrase.
In regards to the whole main topic, it's fucked up that she didn't tell you that you're gonna be an uncle, it's more fucked up that your mom would raise issue with your sister being with a black guy, and about as fucked up as you can get that she thought the baby wasn't deserving of life because she's biracial.
Honestly, if I were you I would leave that house the first chance I would get and remove your mother from your life as entirely as possible. I know I'm spouting pro-life propaganda here, but whatever.

Great minds think alike :woop:. I just researched on google and actually found lots of people use that word, but i had no idea, i thought i'd made it up and yes i've also been using it for years. Simple if you don;'t like different races you're a racist, if you dont like racists you're a racistist.

Ah yeah, sorry, your mom is probably racist. Does she have a problem with interracial partners in general or only when it is her daughter?

You're seriously suggesting he remove his mother from his life? Racist or not, she's still his mother. My mom's crazy as shit and my dad tried to get into the KKK (and failed) when he was younger, but I still talk to them. You only get one family, whether they're good or bad, they're it. Friends come and go, blood's forever.
My sister's about to have a kid in a month. She's barely 18, and her husband's an ex-con with a violent temper. I bet my friend $50 the baby will have hooves. It's a smart wager. ;)

but having a kid screws up your life.
They will if you're:
A)Teenage Mother/Father
B) Still in Highschool
C) Single Mother/Father
D) Have A Minimum Wage Job
E) Got Kicked Out of Home or Don't Live At Home
F) Parents Won't Help You (That's Assuming The Rest Were Met)
Kids are awesome. Personally, I wouldn't want one at 19. Especially since I barely see my own little brother that often, I don't think I'd have time for life if I had one. Anyways, I would be pissed if my mom didn't tell me my sister had a kid.

He never specified much of that list except the last two when I first posted, but he hinted at the rest later and I don't think it will be that bad. It will be hard for sure without the last two, but far from impossible.

Kids are so damn expensive and exhausting. Honestly, with my current schedule I'm outside of my home for 60 hours between school and work, there is no way I could have a baby. My girlfriend has a similar schedule and I wouldn't want my kid having a babysitter almost all the time.

Hey Kronic, this shouldn't be bad news this should be great news! Your sister is having a baby, black man or white man or racist mom or non-racist mom. Having racist parents isn't the worst thing in the world. You should be happy you have a mom and like Bluntman said you only get one family, but ya having a baby and not being married is a bad situation, so kronic next time you see your mom embrace her and thank her for giving birth to you. That's what I do every day because I'm weird.

Don't get any stupid ideas about getting out of your house from any people on this site. You make your decision when you're older. You, and you only.
As for your mother, it really shouldn't matter to her if the guy's black or white, just as long as your sister is happy about it all. Good luck with it, Uncle SRH KRONIC! :D

Sorry about the racist shit. But tell her congrats. I've got a 7 year old and never regretted one day.
Congratulations on being an uncle mate! :)
Sorry to hear about your mother, but like it or not, she is your mother. You can either deal with it, or you can attempt to talk some sense into her, but trust me it's hard to change someone's opinion if they've had it for years. :(

First and foremost congratulations on becoming an uncle SRH KRONIC. I'm sorry that your mom doesn't see this as much of a blessing as it really is.
I am good friends with a couple in their 60's who for the most part weren't racist however they didn't approve of interracial dating. Well their granddaughter became pregnant with a black man and they stuck it out giving her their support. Their granddaughter is still in the process of getting things together correctly in her life so her daughter Emmy is taken care of by her grandma or my friends daughter however you want to look at it. I visit with these friends very often when I'm back at my parents house. Every single time I go over to visit there's Emmy with her great-grandpa going on boat rides, swimming in the river (my parents live on a river) or going on Rhino rides. They wouldn't know what to do with life without her.
I have another friend living in the KC area who is a single mother of an interracial 5 year old girl also. I don't exactly know how her mom felt about that, but I do know that she was supportive. I was taken back by it a little when I first learned about it, but she's a very pretty girl and looks exactly like her mom.
Skin color doesn't make the person and it never will.
For those who claim to be racist, I have to ask why and how are you helping the world by being racist?

I love how you think "the most fucked up thing" of that is that you weren't told.. How about your mother (no offense) telling your sister to get an abortion because of the father's race.
Now the real meaning of the post:
Congratulations!
Edit: I realized what I had said could be very controversial, so I also wanted to say that you should have been told by your sister. But it was wrong that your mother didn't tell you (Or your sister).
And,
Well, you do live in the South, so it's not really unexpected.
What the hell is your problem. I may be white, but I hate any kind of racism towards any race. This statement seemed very racist to me and if it wasn't meant to, please clarify.

First off, Congrats on being a Uncle, Kronic!
Never mind how your mother is or how she's like. You keep on being you. Regardless, she is still your mother and nothing will ever change that. Don't let others negativity affect who you are.
