Evidence Question

If I miss a piece of evidence in a level, do I have to go back and replay all the levels before it to get the evidence achievement points?

For example, I just finished level 3 when I realized there is an achievement for getting all the pieces of evidence.

So, should I go back to replay from level 2 on, or can I just replay level 2, get all six pieces of evidence, then go back to level 4?

No, I didn't. I just had to go back to the level where I missed the evidence, that's all.

can you do this with metal pieces and birds? , i missed 2 of each and i know where they are after looking through a guide.

YW, That's what I did. I backtracked through each level, skipping those that I KNEW FOR CERTAIN that I got all birds/metals on, which is why it would be helpful to jot them down on a piece of paper I suppose to prevent you from going back over one you maybe have already gotten them all on.

Yes you can do the same with metal pieces and birds. It doesn't have to be that you are going back for one, then go back again for the other. You can get them both at the same time.
