Is Thompson A Target In 'GTA 4?'

The wacky, game-hating attorney Jack Thompson. The latest jack-a-nape from the Florida attorney: In a recent court filing, Thompson claims an article in Game Informer magazine reveals that a mission in GTA 4 involves killing an attorney. Thompson feels the attorney represents him.
It would give anything to be killed in Grand Theft Auto 4, but Thompson, apparently, doesn't like the idea, and has threatened to block the release of the game if "he" is not removed.

He writes:"You have until five o’clock P.M. this Friday… to inform me that you are going to delete the above references and any other references that could reasonably be construed to be references to me in Grand Theft Auto IV and any other video games that are pending release…

Now you have descended this low - using one of your games to threaten my physical safety… Failure to comply with the deadline… will result in my having to take necessary and proper means to stop release of the game which targets me personally… given the copycatting of violent games…"

Didn't Jack Thompson try and sue Rockstar for the game bully and the judge not only through the case out, but told Thompson to stay away from Rockstar. And that he couldn't bring up legal cases against them or something. I remember reading that somewhere. Or something like that.

A nut poking isn't violent, quite the opposite actually.

But if he thinks that violence would come his way if the game is released and people think it is him, he hasn't taken into account how pissed off the millions of GTA fans would be if he did ever manage to get GTA stopped. If he ever gets killed it would be for stopping GTA, not being in it.

I AM sorry but I couldn't help but giggle at this. Thompson is retarded, if he is gonna say thats him then I am gonna sue Rockstar for running a pedestrian over who is just walking around. Because I feel threatened that someone might notice thats me in the game and run me over.

I am not a fan of GTA but if Thompson really does get it stopped can you imagine what worse games he could go after next?

Actually, last summer Thompson and TakeTwo came to an agreement that Jack would leave Rockstar and all of it's properties the hell alone. Including lawsuits, "treaths" and somesort. To leave the Hot Coffee incident behind as the past.

Looks like Rockstar has a golden oppertunity to sue the heck out of Thompson himself. Hunter becomes the hunted.

The only resemblance to JC and the person in the game he is referring to is they are both lawyers and they both think violent video games kill people. So really they could be making fun of ANY video game hating lawyer (there are plenty) but it is obvious Rockstar is making fun of video game hating lawyers in GENERAL not just one.

Games like postal 2 and such have done this kind of thing before even less subtly.

Rockstar will add a reference to this guy somehow in this mission without being to blatent.
Eg. They switch his name around and name the lawyer in the mission "Tom Jackson"
I think we all would enjoy replaying that mission to kill the certain lawyer over and over again

On a forum im on, JT has warned people for less than that that hes going to take legal action against them (Yes its a GTA forum).

Hes going to end up in Jail soon anyway. he has 2 cases against him for harrasment and he included gay pictures in a dossier against a bar in miami which the Judge found innappropiate and Was angry at JT.

Hes not actually an official lawyer anymore anyway, he got stripped of the title.

Only then will he stop being solely our business and start being a global issue, then he'll be defeated by a kid trying to escape who places a banana peel in Mr. Thompson's way, causing him to slip and fall as the children he has captive escape through him.
