I haven't had hot dogs in a long time. I eat sausages now instead. Usually beef or turkey ones. They taste so much better. Way way way way way better. Hot dogs are like the poor mans sausage.

I usually go with a cheddar brat, with diced onions, ketchup, and maybe a little spicy mustard when I'm grilling out.

I eat the occasional "cheeseburger big bite" from 7-11 when I'm working. They're not bad at all if you get one that hasn't been sitting on that rolling grill for 16 hours. With a little nacho cheese and some ketchup, those things are bangin. :p

After watching this show on hot dogs I realized how many different variations there are of hot dogs. I really wanted to try a lot of the ones I saw, especially deep fried hot dogs.

For me though, it's all about the Chilli Cheese Dog.

I find it strange though that living in New York City I have yet to really go out and get a hot dog. Not from a vendor, not from Coney Island. The only time was at Greys Papaya and that shit was nasty. Who cares if it's famous. I would like to make it out to Coney Island and get a hot dog from Nathan's though seeing as how they pretty much invented the hot dog.

There are places where you will have to put you own ketchup on a dog, because its so against tradition here. They will hand you the squeeze bottle or packets, and you can do the damage yourself.
