Question On Using Melee Weapons

I noticed you can still strike an opponent once they are dead. Does anyone know if you strike them with a melee weapon once they are down if that will count towards the achievement?

I just got the game today and started playing chapter 2 when I noticed this. I am going to continue through the game and do that with all the weapons to see what happens but I wanted to know if anyone knew for sure if that would work or not - if not then I won't waste my time.

I Thought you just needed to equip melee weapons , damn this must be why i didnt get it :|

I am not convinced you can get the melee achievement whilst your enemy is dead. I dont know for certain.. but to save time I would strike whilst alive and kicking, with each melee weapon.

Doesnt matter, just hit them with a melee weapon and it counts, im pretty sure you just have to swing it once to count @_@

You do have to strike someone with each weapon, including the butt of each firearm.
