Introduction:
Mark of the ninja is an upcoming 2D stealth-platformer developed by Klei Entertainment, the creators of Shank. Players take on the role of a ninja, lurking in the shadows and dispatching foes using a variety of tactics.

Step 1 (first play through):
While playing through the campaign you will most likely unlock most of the achievements naturally. If you miss any of the collectables or any of the medals you can go back and replay the levels so you don't have to worry about missing any of the achievements.

Step 2 (second play through):
The second step with this game is after you have completed it is to go back and complete it once more in New Game + to get the "true ninja" achievement.

Step 3 (Mop up):
Like I have said before you can go back and play the level over and over again. Such things points for medals and certain objects (seals) in each level will change. So as soon as a level starts you will want to press starts so you know the points that you want to aim for and the other objects such as i.e destroy 20 lights in level 2.

Kill one guard.

This will be your first achievement that you will unlock in this game. Once you get a sword go behind an enemy and press X.

Complete the game in New Game Plus.

Once you have completed the game you will have an option to replay the game in New Game +. Simply complete all the levels over and again and at the end of the game this achievement will unlock.

Earn three stars in every level.

For this achievement you most get the highest target of points in each of the levels.
Level 1 - 23000
Level 2 - 21000
Level 3 - 34000
Level 4 - 21500
Level 5 - 19000
Level 6 - 29000
etc..

Please look at the tips part of the roadmap to see what type of kills get you the most points, remember if you get detected during a level it will deduct 800 points. At the end of the level you also get bonuses from completing the levels.

Earn all the Seals in every level.

Each level has 3 Secondary objectives that you must complete for this achievement. Upon starting a level Press Start and on the right hand side of the screen you will see the Seals. An example of these objectives are below.

(Stage 2)
Destroy at least 20 lights
Reach the transformer in under a minute.
Reach the top of the tower with out being detected.

Complete all of them and the achievement will unlock

Find all three scrolls in every level.

Each level has 3 scrolls these strolls are hidden through each level and every time you pick on up it will tell a story.

Earn all the upgrades.

Throughout the progression of the story you will see statues that will let you buy upgrades, if you want to get all of them you will have to complete every objective in each level so you can get all 9 coins at the end of the level.

This is a small example of the upgrades you can get, there are 29 upgrades in total. Some of the upgrades are rewarded to you as you play the game such as the Noise Makers.

Complete a level without killing any guards.

This achievement isn't as hard as it sounds, the best way to get this achievement is to take your time, always stay hidden and always distract the guards with environmental objects such as lights and gongs.

Complete a level without getting detected.

Please refer to the "mercy" achievement. Level 2 is a very good level to get the do not kill any guards and do not get detected achievements. The level is simple and short and also if you get detected you can just restart the checkpoint it does not effect the achievement if you do this. This is how i got the achievement.

Complete all of the challenge rooms.

Some scrolls require you to do a challenge to get them, they involve laser puzzles. You will get this achievement whenever you collecting all the scrolls

Terrorize 10 guards.

This will come naturally as you progress through the story. There are certain parts in the game where you will aim your secondary weapon at a environmental hazard that will fall. It will kill or startel a guard and he will become terriorized. You will know this became he will start yelling and firing his gun in all directions.

Hold RT to slow time down, then aim a guard and hit him with the secondary weapon you have equipped such as noise makers.

Perform 25 successful stealth kills.

You will get this achievement as you naturally progress through the story. Once behind an enemy press X then you will see A direction (left or right etc) and X you have to press these buttons to complete the kill. If you fail to hit the buttons you will not complete a stealth kill.

Perform five different types of stealth kills successfully in one level.

For this achievement you will need at least 3 different types of techniques.
Stealth kill 1 - Normal Stealth kill
Stealth kill 2 - Hangman's hymn (dangle from a grapple ledge and hang an enemy)
Stealth kill 3 - Hang on the edge of a ledge and wait for an enemy to walk over to it. Then press X to kill him.
Stealth kill 4 - Emperor's Abyss (whenever and enemy is beside or on top of a vent press X to kill him.
Stealth kill 5 - Bat's Prey (while hanging from the roof over an enemy press X and you will dive bomb the enemy)

There are loads of other type of stealth kills that will require you to buy the techniques first. Remember you have to press the direction button plus X to make it count as a stealth kill.

Kill a guard from inside the box

Near the end of the game you will be able to purchase the cardboard box upgrade + from the upgrades menu for 3 gold pieces and then you have to buy the upgraded version for 5 gold pieces, put it on and kill a guard while inside the box.

Get the Undetected honor bonus 10 times in one level.

To get an undetected bonus you most be hiding and a guard has to walk pass the area that you are hiding in and not notice or detect you. You will most likely get this while playing through the game naturally or whenever you attempt the achievements without being detected or killing a guard.

Throw the body of one guard to terrorize another.

I got this achievement and The Worst Allies achievement and also the Unstable footing achievement in the same spot. In chapter 2 whenever you have to reach the top of the tower, Don't kill or alert any of the gaurds until you get on the second floor kill one of the gaurds on the right there will be a door. Drag the body outside and let it drop off the edge (first drop down yourself to make sure that the guard is standing there). There will be a guard underneath you, once you drop the body you will hear him scream and that will be him terrorize and then he will start shooting all around him hopefully killing another guard or falling to his death.

Just grab a body, drag it near a guard, and throw the body into their cone of vision with X. Just make sure your ninja is facing the direction you want to throw, since it's a bit backwards in this game.

Within a single Focus, aim and throw three different types of items.

Once you have unlocked 3 different types of items you will have you wait until you are in an area with 3 objects that you can throw things at. Hold down RT to go into focus mode then hit Y to select the target then hit the D-Pad left/right/up to change the item then aim at another object press Y again and do the same for the last item. The first time you can get this achievement is on level 4

Stealth kill a guard from inside a dumpster.

Firstly you will need to buy the technique "a brief shadow", this technique lets you kill enemies while you are hiding. Now all you need to do is find a dumpster and hide in it and wait for an enemy to walk pass it. Then press X and you will kill him. A brief shadow technique costs ? gold coins.

Kill a guard by getting other guards to shoot them.

For this achievement you will have to terrorize a guard so he will start shooting all around him, if you are lucky he will end up shooting another guard unlocking this achievement.

Terrify a guard using the result of a hanging stealth kill five times.

Once you get the upgrade Hangman's hymn find two guards that are close together and also ones that are standing under a platform that you can grapple onto. Distract on of the guards so he walks away now, hang over the guard and Press X to kill him and hang him from a chain. Hopefully the first guard will turn around and see that his friend has been hung and in the end terrifying him. (Can be done on level 3 and onwards)

Use a dead body to lure another guard and then stealth kill them.

You can get this achievement on any level simply kill a guard and lure another over to him using the environment or you secondary weapons. Once he notices the body kill him.

I put this in the other Achievement Guide (I really think both of you jumped the gun on putting up guides, but whatever), but your methods of achieving Things Better Left Unseen are needlessly complicated and you both seem to do it the same way. Just grab a body, drag it near a guard, and throw the body into their cone of vision with X. Just make sure your ninja is facing the direction you want to throw, since it's a bit backwards in this game.
