Well, the first of many impacting injuries to happen this year, have already occured. I just heard on ESPN that Manning will miss at least a month and Brandon Jacobs will miss at least 3 weeks. Considering, they weren't that good to being with, I would say the Giants are in big trouble now.
*But they are also saying he may play in the next couple weeks. The injury is still undecided I guess.
Anyone else have anything big impact their team that is injury related?

No big injury impacts for my team but the Texans did own KC and I was quite happy about that....and also Randy Moss owned and i got 27 fantasy points off of him :)

Buffalo is definitely not my team, but when you lose a player the first week to a devastating injury that might result is the guy being paralyzed for the rest of his life, 3 week and 1 month injuries just don't seem that big.
Good luck Kevin Everett.
On a side note, the 49ers are my team so I'll probably have some injury report tomorrow.

Jacobs screwed me in my first fantasy week. I'm ahead 3 points right now, but my opponent has McGahee tonight. Doubt he won't get less than 30 yards. :(
His backup looked pretty good last night though, and I'm guessing without Manning, they will rely on him a bit more, so I'm gonna pick him up.
Edit: Nevermind, someone else already got him. Vultures!

Well thank goodness the Giants and Manning are denying the Shoulder separation. So it is still uncertain if he is Day to Day or out for a month or more.
You just gotta be dancing at this news... yes Shaaady I see you dancing. I see Manning back this week if not next... At least I am praying.

it appears, at least of this post, the same thing is happening to the ravens...

I know it was the Browns, but Pittsburgh looked pretty good. 4td passes from BIG BEN and no injuries=a great week.

I feel so bad for that guy. I heard on ESPNews that he's most likely paralyzed. Hopefully, it's not from the neck down at least. I know it isn't any compensation but it's the best he and his family can hope for.
As for Eli, it sucks. He was playing pretty well despite Jacobs going down and the defense doing their absolute best to play like garbage. Like previously stated, I'm hearing day to day or a month.
I heard on local sports shows that if he's down for a considerable length of time, they might look into Byron Leftwich. Might as well give it a try if he's healthy and Eli's out for a while.

Well seeing as I'm a Cowboys fan I have to start off with we fucked your shit all up. Next I want to say that we did it with Terry Glen, Greg Ellis, and Terrence Newman out.

I sincerely hope you were only referring to the gameplay, and not what happened to Everett.

I'm a Bills fan and a Chiefs fan. Chiefs just blew this weekend.
As for the Bills....where do i start. The news of Kevin Everett is horrid...he is in ICU completely coped up on pain killers and is on a respirator....They are saying he will never have full range of motion again and there is a significant chance that he may never walk again. Plus we are missing Terrence McGee i believe....our D is screwed. Thank god for Posluzsny...he's our saving grace this year defensively...

Eli isn't a major problem, it's the giants all round defense. No impact corner, Strahan is aged, Linebackers are barely capable of the job. You can't let 80 points in two weeks and blame it on Eli. You just can't. The Giants also let their best O-lineman go and figured it'd be ok.
He's not Peyton, nor is he a top QB, but he still get's it done. I'd take him over about 20 other QB's in the league.
Eli seems like he could miss maybe 1 game, and if this week is any indication, he won't let this shoulder bother him. But he needs to take the 1 game off and let the team concentrate on Jared throwing the ball.

If anyone comes in on Eli it just looks like he gets terrified and either gets sacked and fumbles. or he throws a garbage pass for an interception. ur right its the whole team but i just dont like eli. hes a garbage QB.

I'm a Giants fan. They ain't going anywhere this year. I'm so disgusted that Coughlin is still the coach of this team, that at this point all I care about is him looking like an idiot and getting fired. (Actually I'd rather see some playoff wins!) I want to see the whole team and all the fans kick him out of town. My big problem with him is that he could never get along with his team. Why do we still have a coach that can't get along with his team since day one!!? This is the NFL, the high stakes, big money league.
There's major repercussions for complaining about your head coach publicly and Strahan, Barber, and Shockey (all stars) all did it.

If you had bet just 1 dollar on the lions to win the Super Bowl, I think you could have become a trillionaire. Well, good luck with your team.

I honestly can't believe how bad our defense is. It's a freakin' nightmare. I cringe everytime our defense has to take the field, it's like we'd be better off attempting onside kicks after every score.
Our best cornerback is a rookie (thank God for Aaron Ross)! Our linebacker corps cannot tackle. Kiwanuka needs to go back to the front line (moving him to LB was a stupid idea IMO).
Oh well, at least Eli and our receivers look great. Too bad the season looks like it's already over. And yet I still watch every game cause if it weren't for the NY Giants, I wouldn't watch any football.
God bless the New York Yankees.
