Wade Keller is reporting that Ric Flair quit WWE earlier this week. Flair is frustrated with his push and lack of any encouraging communication from the front office.

Both sides have ongoing discussions to try and cool the situations down, with WWE hoping to talk him in to agreeing not to quit the company. The situation with Flair doesn’t appear to be related to the suspensions. This is a big blow to WWE, considering the lack of depth in the roster right now.

f the two sides don’t come to terms, Flair could sign a deal with TNA for the two-hour launch. TNA is well aware of the situation and interested in signing Flair. We will keep you updated as information is released. But then this came up...

Although the story did not break until Tuesday, WrestlingObserver.com reports that Ric Flair gave notice to WWE sometime around August 21.

As reported, Flair's decision to quit is related to his lack of a push; the recent drug scandal apparently had nothing to do with his giving notice.

WWE reportedly offered Flair a "major program" in exchange for his agreement to stay on board. At press time, however, the two sides had not worked out a deal and, as the Observer says, "nobody except perhaps Flair knows where things stand at this moment." With TNA close to or already got a 2 hour time slot, this would be huge. although I don't see him getting a push in TNA either. But maybe...team him up with Sting and win the tag team titles is the most I see for Flair in TNA. Nothing more.

What does he think he will do in TNA? X-Division champion? come on now. Tag Team Champions? Maybe but he can do the same in WWE so why leave for less money?

With Jeff coming back and challanging Kurt for the World Title, I highly doubt Flair would be anywhere close to the world title picture, hes done. Its time to hang up the boots and go home.

Ric Flair is the Julio Franco and Chris Chelios of wrestling.

I don't know and couldn't say but I'll tell you one of the Top 10 coolest moments of my life was passing the high school office on the way to lunch one day and seeing Ric Flair come out of the office (his daughter went to my high school, as well as Arn Anderson's son). About 10 different people did the Ric Flair "Woooooo!" at him as he walked out of the school.

I would love to see him in TNA. I like his classic matches with Sting.

No it isn't. I think flair should be a manager or retire. He is told old and its been showing for a few years now. If he goes to TNA the matches with Sting won't be the same because of his age. He will die in a TNA ring if he goes there

yep he should retire and work as manager or whatever in the backstage. He should be on wwe hall of fame. hulk hogan already on the list and still wrestle for a while.

I would like to see ric flair go to tna and maybe one final match with sting. Because both have a lot of history together such as four horsemen and nwa. he belong to nwa, not wwe.

I see Smokez in here, now where's J Lo at to discuss this as well?

Ric Flair is great! It's been so long, but I'm not sure how long I've followed his career. Whether he quits or not, he's done enough in the wrestling biz. The guy is a true Legend.

WoOoOoOo!!!:p

why would he be the only one quiting because of a steriod scandal?Maybe its beause hes very very old no?I think its more likely that the younger guys wouls quit because of a steriod scandal, but there is no steriod scandal because there are no bets that go on the wwe in vegas.

With the poor status of WWE these days, I don't blame him. I've been a wrestling fan practically all my life and the product hasn't been good for a number of years, especially when they started this roster split storyline. They're pushing guys with no wrestling skills while the young up-and-comers rot away their chance to be something big.

As for Flair, what I read was that he was fed up with the direction his character was going. Personally, I don't even know what direction it was going since I barely watch wrestling these days. He's nearing the end of his wrestling career. He shouldn't be put in stupid storylines. Give him one last title run, even if it's nothing special. Make the guy that has given so much to the business for so long a chance to leave with the dignity, respect, and fanfare he deserves.

Well, right now I'm pretty sure he's out. If you saw what Khali did to him and ya. He hasn't been on Smackdown since then so maybe he wanted time off but he's mad cuz they aren't giving him much TV time so ya.

Oh ya, I was at that Smackdown. 5th row right behind Michael Cole and JBL. Oh ya, be jealous.:)
