Wade Keller is reporting that Ric Flair quit WWE earlier this week. Flair is frustrated with his push and lack of any encouraging communication from the front office.
Both sides have ongoing discussions to try and cool the situations down, with WWE hoping to talk him in to agreeing not to quit the company. The situation with Flair doesn’t appear to be related to the suspensions. This is a big blow to WWE, considering the lack of depth in the roster right now.
f the two sides don’t come to terms, Flair could sign a deal with TNA for the two-hour launch. TNA is well aware of the situation and interested in signing Flair. We will keep you updated as information is released. But then this came up...
Although the story did not break until Tuesday, WrestlingObserver.com reports that Ric Flair gave notice to WWE sometime around August 21.
As reported, Flair's decision to quit is related to his lack of a push; the recent drug scandal apparently had nothing to do with his giving notice.
WWE reportedly offered Flair a "major program" in exchange for his agreement to stay on board. At press time, however, the two sides had not worked out a deal and, as the Observer says, "nobody except perhaps Flair knows where things stand at this moment." With TNA close to or already got a 2 hour time slot, this would be huge. although I don't see him getting a push in TNA either. But maybe...team him up with Sting and win the tag team titles is the most I see for Flair in TNA. Nothing more.
What does he think he will do in TNA? X-Division champion? come on now. Tag Team Champions? Maybe but he can do the same in WWE so why leave for less money?
With Jeff coming back and challanging Kurt for the World Title, I highly doubt Flair would be anywhere close to the world title picture, hes done. Its time to hang up the boots and go home.
Ric Flair is the Julio Franco and Chris Chelios of wrestling.
