I want to know which movies you think are the most violent. They don't have to include excessive gore (although that tends to be the case in the truly violent films). I'll get the ball rolling with my picks.

RoboCop
Total Recall
Saving Private Ryan
Starship Troopers
Predator

NOTE: All of these movies have EXCESSIVELY gory content. Don't say I didn't warn you.

They're pretty tame. For real gore and violence you gotta look to the far east.

In no particular order:

Ichi the killer (asian)
Battle Royale (asian)
The Audition (asian)
High Tension
Irriversible

Basically if you want violent movies look further away from the mainstream stuff.

What do you qualify for violence?

There's different ways, in my opinion, to word violence.

Dude...its just a Top 5 post!!!! Just think of the most violent films u have ever seen and post them. If u haven't lived in the "information age" for long then violence means blood every, headshots, and castration!!!! So just put a smile on and post!!!!

they're going to remake Cannibal Holocaust and will be release in 2008 I think. I haven't see the old film but I heard it's pretty nasty and some of them are real like killing animals.

Anyway here my top five violent movies but in no order...

- Kill Bill (the first)
- Braveheart
- RoboCop
- Texas Chainsaw Massacre: the beginning
- Jason Goes to Hell

What exactly is wrong with the movie? Sure, it's one of the most vile movies ever made, but isn't this a most violent movie list? Wether you hate it or not, the movie is one of the best exploitation movies ever made. Countries have banned it, cut out all the good stuff, and guess what? You can still get an uncensored region 0 DVD on ebay for less then twenty bucks. It's not going anywhere.

agree with you tiamat, i've seen those except for blodd sucking freaks.

last house on the left isnt very gory (except for the part with the chainsaw), but its quite a chocker:eek:

i've also would put on that list ichi the killer, evil dead (original, kind of a joke but very cool) and another called august underground mordum, i've only seen it once but i felt bad after watching it

1. I Spit On Your Grave
2. Last House On The Left
3. A Clockwork Orange
4. Takashi Miike's Dead or Alive Trilogy (From what I've seen)
5. The House On The Edge Of The Park (Last resort for a number five spot)

(The reason I asked about violence is because there is blood, where you just can cut off 1,000 peoples heads, but then there is movies like Mortal Kombat or martial arts films...)

You're right. I found a bunch of copies....and bid on one since I have never seen it.

Even ebay came up empty on Blood Sucking Freaks though. That must be a tough find. Anything that exists can normally be found on ebay.

Brain dead - very gory but slapstick with it, hilarious film!

Irreversible - over all not that gory but...it has "THAT" bit...anyone who's seen it will know.

Clockwork Orange- not gory but violent...probably not enough to shock todays youngsters though

Dawn of the Dead *Original* - Very Gory, Very Violent and great fun!

Ichi The Killer - Pretty violent / Gory, the anime version is better though

I need to edit my list to include Cannibal Holocaust.

O......M.......G. Just finished it. First off, I feel like I need a shower. That was without a doubt the most horrendously brutal piece of film I have ever seen, and I am an avid horror fan. It was horror, yet not "scary". You won't jump, or feel anxious or scared. You simply feel unclean when watching it.

I thought that having been filmed in 1980 would make it a joke compared with the vicious shit in today's horror movies...and compared to today's graphics. I was way off base. Having been filmed 27 years ago actually made it feel more "real", like an actual documentary. Some of the things that happen in this movie are simply shocking. This is one that I'll probably lock away in my gun cabinet or someplace else secure so I can be assured my kids will never see it. It is the epitome of violent disgust. I can't say that I enjoyed it or didn't enjoy it because I'm still trying to wrap my brain around what I just saw. The animal killings (these were REAL, btw) didn't bother me too much. I've killed, gutted, skinned and butchered a slew of different animals ranging from small stuff like rabbits and squirrels to larger animals like Russian Wild Boar and Deer...along with domestics like turkeys, cattle and hogs. So while it was still fairly shocking to watch on film, it didn't effect me the same way it will non-hunters/farmers. The human violence is the part that was just completely fucked up.

Bottom line...if you have a weak stomach, leave this movie alone. If you cannot stand scenes with EXTREME violence...and I do mean EXTREME...leave this movie alone. You see "unrated" on dvd boxes all the time and after watching them you feel like you just watched an R-rated flick. This one actually does qualify to be "unrated" because there is no rating that could describe it.

That is why whenever someone talks about remaking this movie, or others like it, it's bullshit. Because even if they do, it would be so censored, that it would be fucking Disney compared to the original. You could never make a movie like that today and get it into theaters, the MPAA has a stranglehold on everything.

The same goes for a movie like Battle Royale. Hollywood has been talking for years about making that movie, it will never happen, because all the yuppie parents and special-interest groups would be screaming about 12 year olds killing each other. Those people should die for the way they want to censor shit in America, but thats besides the point.

Unless it's one of those faggoty art films, a movie has to have mass distribution in theaters, or it's not going to get made. Unfortunatly, these aren't direct to video releases. If they were, they'd be worthless, with bad acting, bad effects and all that other shit. After the seventies and early eighties, the Grindhouses died out and this is what were left with...

Agree with you bigtime here. "Ichi the killer", "The Audition", and "Irreversible" were disturbing. "Battle Royale" is one of my most favorite movies. I also loved "High Tension". I think "Irreversible" is the only movie I ever bought on DVD just because I loved watching that guy's face get smashed by a fire extinguisher over and over again.

Just saw No country for old men. That has some disgusting scenes in it. You remember that scene from "Ronin" where DeNiro is instructing Jean Reno on how to remove a bullet from his gut with a hand mirror and a pocket knife? The stuff you see in "No Country" makes that look like an episode of "Scrubs"
Here are some that are good movies as well as being disgusting
-Reservoir Dogs
-Kill Bill 1
-Saving Private Ryan
-No Country for Old Men
-300
-Sin City
Anyone can put a whole ton of blood in a movie, but can it be intense and fun to watch? I only have movies that were awesome, as well as excessively gory, if there is a difference.
