what the f am i doing wrong? regarding finishing moves

On the first level, there is a ninja guy near the end. It says I have to do a special move to kill him. Well, I hit him about 50,000 times with a full meter and the LT icon does not appear. The result is that he is wiping the floor with me. What are you supposed to do?

Basically, just do VARIED combos against him or others to build up you meter. Then you should get enough to do a finishing move.

i dont have the game on hand right now, i lent it to a friend. but after you hit him a few times you should see the finishing move pop up on screen, i think it should be like LT or RT plus A, X, B, or Y, when that pops up you have to be kinda quick about it and that should finish him off, if you dont do a finishing move the guys should just keep respawning untill the boss is dead, and boss's in the game need to be beat with a finishing move. anyway i hope this helps, good gaming man
