'Hard' mode achievement issue?

i just wanted to clear this up as i've seen some people say that after completing 'hard' mode the achievement isn't unlocking....

anyone who can tell me which is the right way it would be greatly appreciated

can i go through it chapter by chapter or do i need to start a new game? new game wipes your current level though and i don't want to do that.

You have to start a new game. There are about six or seven different threads on the front page that have confirmations from many people.

Also make sure to use free aim and never change it, or else you'll have to start all the way over. Genius idea R*.

Eugh. Alright thanks guys. I think I'll get the online unlocks at level 7 first then start Hard. I'm not in a rush for level 50 cheevo.
