What exactly is a "Super Tyrant"?

Is it the ones that are on fire, or the final boss for the Echo Six campaign?

This is the super tyrant. That is on the 6th mission at the end.

Correct but that is not THE super Tyrant that the achievement refers to. It is the Tyrant that has the parasite attach itself.

Its not nice to give false information, especially if you dont have the achievement yourself.

I've done the end of mission 6 a few times and killed the Tyrants once they change yet no achievement....have I missed something? Killed more than 3. -_-

I had to play that mission 4 times before it popped for me so I suggest just keep trying and make sure your teammates and the rail gun don't kill the tyrant before you do

Yeah took a few times but finally got it. 100% again woot!!!! :drunk

Just so people know, you don't have to replay the mission at all. Simply when you get to the end of it you can kill one tyrant, let yourself die then rinse and repeat.

Also I believe it takes 3 railgun shots to kill them (maybe 4? hard to count with so many dancing around). Once changes them into super, then once more weakens them, then a third kills them. So let the railgun do some of the work by hitting them with 2 shots. Means far less work for you.

Oh and also never has an a.i. griefed me so much. On one attempt a tyrant charged into me knocking me down, then a super tyrant leaped and knocked me back down, then another super tyrant leaped and knocked me back down. As I was about to die Harley healed me. Got stuck next to a wall with 3 tyrants making it impossible to move, knocking me down so often and quickly that I couldn't fire a single shot, throw a grenade etc. Good grief that was annoying.

I do know my RE monsters but I was just assuming that the super tyrant it referred to (and along with the achievement pic) was the mission 7 super tyrant.

@payne I understand where you could've thought that but the achievement asked for three super tyrants not the parasitic super tyrant I assume it would've said specifically

Just so people know, you don't have to replay the mission at all. Simply when you get to the end of it you can kill one tyrant, let yourself die then rinse and repeat.

Exactly what I did. Worked like a charm. Now back to MP3.

The odd thing about this achievement, as others have said, is that they used the Parasite Tyrant from Echo Six Mission 7 (Longest Yard) as the achievement icon and you're actually needing to kill the Magma Tyrants from Mission 6 (The Places We Were Meant to Die) which is cake with the juggernaut.

"The Longest yard" Tyrant would be considered a Parasite Tyrant, I would think. At first I thought it was a super Tyrant because Mr. X or the fire ones looked like that Of the T-138 (?) .....(Resident evil history is a little rusty). The one that chased Leon/Claire in the B scenarios in RE2, but do believe he wasn't as stout and only had one monsterous claw,again my RE history is rusty. I remember the Tyrant in the first game having only one claw.

Funny...
I beat this game more that like 10 times...
1 with each characters and then with a few friends.
Yet i expected to be given this achivement almost right away.


Apart from that,FUCK this achivement.
Its annoying as hell.
I did it this yesterday in the afternoon.
The AI died and all 4 of the Tyrant fucked me.
I even got stuck in the corner by 2 of these guys.
Im so glad i did that achivement,fuck that shit.
