Anyone shot a sniper through the eye as he's looking down his scope?

i had one close yesterday. hit part of the scope and hit him in the throat. still trying for the dick shot xray!!!

I don't think so as I have tried to do it multiple times as well. It would be pretty neat if they did allow you to do it, though.

they show it in one of the previews so it should be possible.

plus its been recorded as happening several times during real combat over the years so its not just make believe movie scenario.

I've hit the guy in the eye he's looking down the scope with while he's aiming but nothing special happens. Its not named anything different and the points aren't anymore. It doesn't actually show it go down the scope either. You just hit the guy in the eye, which pops, and then it just looks like a regular headshot...

Was kinda wondering the same. I've tried a few times. Closest I got was when I got my ricochet achievement. Skipped the bullet off the guys barrel and, jango, headshot! Just wish I had a vidcap.

Just done one. You get a black cross-section of the enemy'r rifle and his eye goes pop. Nothing special like breaking glass etc...

I've got a cap card so, I'll go for another one and hopefully get it.

with the side view (xray and norm), I don't know if you would know the bullet passes thru the scope.
I originally thought the eye ball cheeve was for doing that so on my first playthru I was gunning for them. I've sent many parrallel wi tthe scop and hitting the eye area, but I couldn't tell if it was through the scope ot right beside it....

Its been recorded that this shot actualy has been done by a few snipers over the years, i remember that myth busters show on discovery chanel where they trying to replicate that shot from the movie "Saving Private Ryan" And even they set up everything perfect got a fixed instalation for the gun and a perfect line up calculating bullet drop and wind speed ect. they hit the scope a few times but never managed to get a full hit like in the movie or as been told by stories from snipers.
The biggest issue they had was the scale of the scope itself, they normaly bigger at the ends and very small in the middle, so even when the bullet hits dead center of that scope the bullet somehow gets stucked in the middle section what results in a riccocet bullet penitrating the scope but get riccocet off tru the middle section. Thats largly done because the bullet never travels at a straight path but always in a curve whats know as bulletdrop. This ofcourse comes more into place how longer the distance is to the target, so to get a real scope kill of a long distance is almost an impossible thing. In the game it might work when playing on easy where no bullet drop is added.
When this has been done then it was only possible when the scope itself was big enough or evenly shaped like the scopes the germans used on the G43 Gewehr, that was very different from the scope the germans used on the K98 gewehr.
Anyways i just wanted to add that as a bit of historical background :)
