Where to finds hints to translate alphabet?

I don't know exactly why but I'm willing to play this game and solve every puzzle all by myself...
But at the moment i'm getting a lot trouble to uncode the fez alphabet. There are places in the game where there are evident tips for translations?

Considering i'm playing the game in italian, the words must be translated in my native language or in english?

"The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" is the key it is a pangram, meaning it contains all the letters of the english language. This is as much as i'll say, it needs to be translated into english
