How do I substitute?

I see alot of people in multiplayer use some kind of substitution technique when they dissapear out of my combo(even in the midair) and reappear a few meters away. How do I do that ? I'm lvl 30 and I see people lvls 15 doing that so I don't think that I simply didn't unlock it yet.

Not sure what you mean, but if it looks like a cloud it's just lag.

Yeah if you see people disappearing that's the game saying "Oh wait, actually they're right here!" and trying to seem cool about it. That's why they're often mid-string and it's not interrupted.

Damn, I thought it was a skill too. Was getting annoyed sometimes when it happened. It's kinda cool how they handle it but I'm kinda sad it's not a skill now =(

True, on the other side it takes (sort of) more skill without it.
