so im playing the game thinking ooooh i can tuck my case away for at least 10 hours or so til i need a disc swap, an hour into the game INSERT DISC2

then bit later please insert disc 1 im surprised they dont pack em in a great big cardboard box and for security have you type the 3rd letter of the 18th word on page 34 too

well u must be takin your time because this happened as soon as i got control of the normandy

Did you install both discs to hdd?

doesnt matter if you did, you still have to boot the correct disc when its required

Same thing here, it seems to be tied to certain quests etc and progression. I've been to the Citadel 3 times and have had to change the disc 2 times from 1 to 2 and back to 1. Though in priority quests I've only done the first one for Palaven.

Edit: And both are installed to HD, though doesn't matter as it still asks for discs.
