is this better then amped 3?

Ive noticed some people saying that amped 3 is better then this... are they trolling? ive never played amped 3 and probably never will but whats so great about amped? by the trailers and stuff it doesnt look like much fun as ssx and looks pretty average. maybe im wrong but if i am im sorry.

Amped 3 is a nice game... I like SSX gameplay more than Amped 3 - and I think Stoked: Big Air is (just a little) better than Amped 3.

To me: Shaun White Gameplay <<<<< Amped 3 < Stoked: Big Air < SSX

I didn't play SW or Stoked, but I completed Amped 3 and played the SSX-demo.
IMO Amped was way better than SSX, but this may be the case because I just don't like that hollywoodesque Super-Uber-spin-a-thousand-times-gameplay of SSX.
What I especially liked about Amped 3 was the way the "story" was told and those special moves you activated by only tilting the ministicks slightly sideways.

SSX is too overstuffed with spins and tricks and combos for my taste. I mean if every trick you do is at least a 1440 double backflip it kinda takes the appeal of such tricks away. :(

hahaha. Amped 3 was awesome. It's story is ridiculously silly. It's literally a SSX tricky clone. The first 2 didn't sell very well so they changed the third to be just as ridiculous as SSX tricky without the super moves. Amped's gameplya is a little more tame, but there are events like slide down the mountain on a giant hotdog and see how many broken bones you get.... It's over the top, but SSX is way better just because it has multi-player first of all, and secondly it's a lot more smoother. But if you like SSX you might also like Amped 3, so go buy it. It's like $5.

OMG, not at all!!! I've played only SSX for snowboard games for years in the era of PS2/XBox. A friend of mine purchased Amped 3 on release and I borrowed it a few months later.
This is very different from SSX (from the new SSX even more). SSX is taking tricks on a way more surreal level - even at small kickers you can pull off 1440 degrees minimum. In Amped the tricks stick far more to levels that really exists - you'll be lucky if you can find opportunities to do a 1080.

Actually it's not! SSX is an awful lot hastier. It doesn't really feel like snowboarding anymore. This is just about spinning your character as much and often as possible (and that surpasses "reality" by far) and in my opinion in a snowboard game there should be at least a moderate bit of riding and not only spinning for 3:30 of the for minutes you take down the slope...:(
