Glitchy

I don't know if it's my 360, which has had a lot of trouble reading discs (can't get my last two campaign achievements in Gears of War because of this), but suddenly after playing a little bit my game gets really glitchy- no sound comes out when people try to talk, the horses have fail neighs, and the game freezes up.

Does anyone know anything about this, or is it just my Xbox, like I suspect?

Sounds like either a disc or console problem, I haven't really heard about anything like that for this game.
