Glitched fragment?

The Fragment in the sun place with Snow (Forgot what it's called.) Where you ride the monster, I threw mog to get it and it say's i got the Fragment then i skipped the scene Via Start, Then i check the Fragments for the lvl and i have only 1/2. I got the first one by the chocobo. And i went back and fourth on the monster and it never came back? Was that a fragment or something else?

yea that 2nd artifact is a pain to find....I had to look at a youtube video to find it
