Have you tried installing another game to rule out your Xbox as the problem?

It sounds to me like a faulty disc. Defective new discs are rare, but they do pop up once and a while. When I tried to install my first new MW2 disc, it would stop at 33% and tell me that the disc was dirty every time. I took it back and got a new one and the new one installed just fine.

The same thing happened to my first Tekken 6 Disc. It stopped at 46% every time.

If it's the disc, just take it back and get a new one.

If your DVD drive is having issues reading/installing discs, there's a product out there called 'CleanDR XBOX 360 Laser Lens Cleaner' that works wonders. It's safe, cheap, and effective.

Have finally sorted problem, I did try installing another game.... Had same problem, didn't think disc was faulty as game loads and plays, anyhow.. what did it in the end, was trying to do the install while not signed into my Xbox live profile... God knows what that's got to do with installing a game, but hey ho it worked.

Just had the same problem, but only have 16GB left, so guessed I just didn't have enough space?

Happened to me yesterday when I tried to install. It just seemed to lock up on 0%. Didn't even ask me where to install either. I just turned the system off and back on. It worked fine then. This is the only game to ever do that.

Yeah, somehow they made it so you have to be signed into the account to install AND you have to be signed into that same account if you want to play it installed. I brought my hdd to my friend's house the other day and it auto signed into his account. I tried to play and it said I had to delete and re-install the game if I wanted to play. Then I realized it wasn't my account so I signed in and it was fine. Annoying...

I tried a couple more times and still couldn't install the game.

I then started to play the game and then try and it was fine. Maybe you need to first create a game save to install the game?

I also ran into this problem, the correct fix is to go to My Games, locate Final Fantasy XIII-2, Click A and install it that way, it will work.

Installed it the moment I got home just like every other game I've ever bought....though this one does seem to have a high number of install issues compared to most games >_>

I tried that way, didn't work, I tried playing enough to create a save file I little in the game, tried to install again... Didn't work, I tried deleting the demo files Incase that was somehow causing the issue.. Same result, like I posted earlier I tried installing another game which worked, and the only why I managed to do it was signing out of profile and installing that way.

Same for me. Just came up with the little rotating circle. Restarted console, logged out of xbox live, went to games to install. Now seems to be installing. Though it never asked me where to install even now. At least now it has a completion % and is increasing.

Should be ok if % rising.

I'm having the same problem. I can only install the game when I log out of my Account, but the Game won't start after I sign back into it afterwards!

It even crashed my HDD a few moments ago when I had to reset the console after another failed installation attemp. The xbox did not recognize my HDD anymore .... had to reboot for 5-6 times now until it FINALLY found it again.

wtf, seriously ...
