Will the new people who sign up onto xbl now get Hexic HD 2 or will they still get the 1st one ? Or both ? :drunk
Hexic HD came on the harddrive, not just by signing up for XBL. So new people won't be getting the second game for free when Microsoft can make money from it. Plus I think they stopped putting Hexic onto harddrives now, so noone gets it =P
Why God, why does this have to be 800 points?

It sucks...They wont make a lot of money from hexc 2...Its just a poor way to get money from the few hard core hexic fans. Id like it though...I think it'd be cool to play it online.

Honestly, though it often doesn't come immediately to mind when the topic is brought up only because I've gone as far as I can go with the game, Hexic really is a Top Three arcade game and, disc games included, possibly the best launch title. But I love it for the same reason I love the developer's other game, Tetris. It's such a complex game disguised as a simple and inviting one. As good as it may be, it didn't take a whole lot of work to create it, only a genius to think of it, and that really isn't good enough to justify any price over $0. Even at $4 they're robbing us blind, but the game is worth that degree of lunacy. It seems like they're just retroactively making us pay for the original.
Really, this game's downloads are going to consist of 97% trial versions and 3% full game. It isn't going to sell anything.
God, he made so much money on Tetris and I'm sure he pocketed quite a pretty penny on Hexic HD as well. Why does he need to make it so much?
This is the problem with marketplace content. It never goes down in price. Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved still costs 400 points even though Call of Duty 2, coming to market at roughly the same time, probably can be purchased for $20-$30 and even cheaper used.

I love Hexic! It just gets blown off b/c it was free and alot of people played it for the first day they got their 360... If people had to pay for it they would play it more, cuz they are thinkin "I paid for this I might as well get SOME GS out of it"
In other words all hail HEXIC 2!!

Hexic 2 is not as good as the first...its hard to read it as all the clusters are so close together....The table is smaller. I just downloaded the trail...I dont think this will be a good seller.
And as Wolf said: "Really, this game's downloads are going to consist of 97% trial versions and 3% full game. It isn't going to sell anything." That will be true..Only the hexic fans who spend all day on it making grids and stuff will get this, unless your really curious

The first game I played I thought what a waste of 10 bucks, but it is really good. The online is phenomenal, worth it if you love Hexic HD...

Hexic 2 is alot better than the first hexic. Its fun and more addictive especially for battle mode. Making pearls are alot easiler too because all you need to do to make rubies are aligning 5 in a line but if you align 6 you get 2 rubies so its a lot easiler to make black pearls.

I don't know if you guys have noticed, but it seems that XBLA games have settled into what their pricing structure is going to be.
old games800 points
old game with lots of upgrades1200 points
overpriced original games
hacked up retail games (Lumines)So maybe it's just me, but when I saw this week's games I knew Hexic would be $10 and Ecco $5. We're 80 games in now, these are going to be the prices, get used to it or don't buy them.

Hexic 2 is an amazing upgrade to its predecessor, same game play with a few new tweaks, 1 new game type, longer to get a black pearl, and online play (hilarious to continuously lock peoples gems in place, hilarious)

I will agree that is is a nice improvement to the first game but if someone was not a big fan of the first game, this one here probably won't change their mind very much.

Kaens is right - Deal with it or move on with your life. Honestly, when is the last time bitching about something changed it? And why are you spending all this time whining when you could be playing games you can justify buying?
To those of us who like puzzle games, this is definately worth the $10. Some of the best multiplayer for any game in a months, IMO.

I love this version over the original, I didn't even download the trial I just bought the full game. I would have payed 1600 points for it, I LOVE Puzzle games.
